The Halloween event 2017 in Pokémon GO starts in just a few hours and brings special candy rewards and spooky monsters.
Now the Halloween event 2017 is finally official. Niantic has confirmed the long-awaited event on the website and explains what bonuses we can expect this year. Let it be said: There will be treats!

Halloween bonuses, start and end – here are the new Pokémon
In the last few weeks, there has been much speculation about what bonuses Niantic will surprise us with for Halloween and which monsters will appear. Now we have the official answer:
- During the Halloween event in Pokémon GO, we will find Gastly, Shuppet, Duskull, and other spooky Pokémon appearing more frequently. And they have special friends with them.
- Shuppet, Banette, and other ghost Pokémon from the Hoenn region will appear for the very first time in Pokémon GO.
- Additionally, we will meet special Pikachu dressed in their Halloween costume. For
- trainers, there is a Mimikyu hat.
Which ghost Pokémon will appear, the data miners have probably already found out.
The remaining Pokémon from Ruby and Sapphire will then gradually be found in Pokémon GO in December.
When does the Halloween event 2017 start?
The event starts on October 20 and lasts until November 2. According to Niantic, the event starts earlier this time. Officially, it is at 12 PM PDT, which means 9 PM German time. The end will then be at the usual time at 10 PM on November 2.

What bonuses are there?
With your buddy Pokémon, you will earn extra candies during the Halloween event.
- Candy rewards for catching, hatching, and sending Pokémon are doubled
- Your buddy Pokémon finds candies twice as fast
Special packages are waiting for you in the in-game shop. They include, among other things, raid passes and super incubators!
With the third generation, there will probably be new regional monsters in Pokémon GO. We believe these monsters might appear exclusively in specific locations.
