What kind of event is this? Pokémon GO organizes a so-called Community Day every month, where a previously selected Pokémon is in the spotlight and appears at nearly every corner in the game for several hours. Additionally, there is an increased shiny rate along with some helpful bonuses.
Today is the day again, as the October Community Day is just around the corner, focusing on Praktibalk. We have summarized the details of the event’s content and tips on how to optimize your experience below.

When? Sunday, October 15, 2023 – from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time
Pokémon of the Day: Praktibalk will be found wild everywhere
Exclusive Move: Swirler, if you evolve Praktibalk into Strepoli during the event or until 10:00 PM afterwards into Meistagrif
Bonuses:
– 3x Stardust when catching
– double candy when catching
– double chance for XL candy when catching (from Level 31)
– Lures and activated incense last for three hours, except for adventure incense

As a reward for completing the raid, you will be rewarded with additional Praktibalk spawns near the arena for 30 minutes – also with an increased chance of encountering a shiny variant. You can recognize it by its yellow body instead of beige.

Is there shiny Praktibalk? Yes, Praktibalk will be available in its shiny form in the game. During the Community Day, the chances of finding a shiny will be increased. Thus, your chances of encountering one are good.
How strong is Praktibalk? Praktibalk is an impressive fighting Pokémon and ranks among the strongest attackers in this category. Its evolution, Meistagrif, is particularly characterized by the strong moves Counter and Barrage.
Who should take advantage of the Community Day? The C-Day with Praktibalk is an excellent opportunity for trainers who are eager to get a shiny version. On this day, your chances of encountering a shiny Pokémon are particularly good.
Moreover, the C-Day is also suitable for trainers who still need a Fighting-type Pokémon for their raid team. Meistagrif is strong against Normal, Rock, Steel, Ice, and Dark.
Additionally, there’s a triple XP bonus when catching, meaning trainers on their way to level 50 have the chance to gather a substantial amount of experience points on this day.

How to make the most of the Community Day with Praktibalk
Create space: To catch as many Praktibalk as possible during the Community Day, it’s advisable to create space in your Pokémon storage beforehand. Clean up your collection thoroughly, preferably using the tagging and filter functions in the game.
By entering search terms like 0*,1*,2*, you can display all Pokémon that have 2 stars or less. This helps optimize your storage and allows more space for Praktibalk during the event.
Have important items ready: In addition to having free space in your Pokémon storage, having the right items is also crucial. During the event, you’ll especially need a sufficient amount of Poké Balls for catching. Make sure you have the following items prepared:

- Sananaberries: If you want to evolve or level up your Praktibalk, you’ll need a considerable amount of candy. To gather additional candy, you can use Sananaberries when catching to receive double the amount.
- Incense & Lures: These attract even more Pokémon and remain active for 3 hours during the event.
- Lucky Eggs: Lucky Eggs double your XP for a period of 30 minutes. It’s advisable to combine these with your level-up in friendship.
Which Mega Pokémon are recommended? To maximize your candy haul, it can be beneficial to activate a Mega Evolution. Make sure that the Mega Pokémon has the same type as Praktibalk, which is Fighting. This way, you can receive additional candy when catching Praktibalk. The following Pokémon are suitable for this:
