On Sunday, a Community Day is coming up in Pokémon GO again. Menki is waiting for you. We will show you how to make the most of the event.
What kind of event is this? A Community Day is an event that takes place once a month. Here, a Pokémon is in focus and appears in very large numbers during the event. Additionally, there is an increased Shiny chance and some other bonuses.
The Community Day in November 2024 will bring you Menki. The Fighting Pokémon from Generation 1 can evolve into Rasaff and then into Epitaff.
We have compiled what to expect on this Community Day and how to make the most of it for you.
Community Day in November 2024 with Menki – Start & Bonuses of the Event
When? Sunday, November 10, 2024 – From 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Exclusive Attack: Charged Attack Wrath Fist for Rasaff or Epitaff, if you evolve it by 10:00 PM at the latest
Bonuses:

– Double candies when catching Pokémon

– You can evolve Rasaff into Epitaff by taking Rasaff as a buddy and catching 20 Fighting Pokémon

Additional content during the Community Day: From 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, you still have time to participate in 4-star raids. Here, Rasaff will be your opponent. If you defeat it, more Menki will appear around the arena for 30 minutes. These raids must be completed on-site.
For $1 (about 1 €), you can purchase a ticket. This gives you a special research task that will bring you additional rewards.
Who should participate in the Community Day with Menki?
For collectors: If you enjoy collecting Pokémon and Menki and its evolutions have not yet made their way into your Shiny collection, this event is the perfect opportunity to catch up.
For fighters: Menki, Rasaff, and Epitaff are not the strongest attackers in raids. You should rather rely on other Pokémon for this.
In the battle leagues, however, it looks a bit different. Epitaff was one of the best monsters in both the Super and Hyper leagues until mid-year. However, due to the major PvP update, it has been significantly devalued.
With the charged attack Wrath Fist, which Epitaff can learn on Community Day, it gains more relevance again and can place itself again in the upper ranks of the Super and Hyper leagues.
Even stronger, however, is Rasaff. If you equip this monster with the moves Karate Chop, Wrath Fist, and Close Combat, it can rank 3rd in the Hyper League and even 2nd in the Super League rankings by pvpoke.com.
The perfect preparation for the Community Day in November 2024
Make space: If you plan to catch many Pokémon on Community Day, you will primarily need space in your Pokémon Box. So you should sort out Pokémon beforehand. A simple trick can help you with this.
Prepare items: You also need the right items to make the most of the Community Day.
- Balls: To catch many Pokémon, you definitely need Pokéballs. Here’s how to get Pokéballs in Pokémon GO.
- Sananaberries: If you use Sananaberries when catching, you can look forward to additional candies. Since you already receive double the amount of candies during the event, using the berries will even give you four times the amount per catch.
- Incense and Lure Module: With these two items, you can enjoy additional Menki spawns during the event. Additionally, the duration of the items is increased to 3 hours if you activate them during the event.
Which Mega Pokémon are worth it for the event? If you have the right Mega Evolution activated during the event, you can earn additional experience points and candies.
For this, you need a Fighting-type Mega Evolution. You can rely on the following evolutions:
- Mega-Lucario
- Mega-Skaraborn
- Mega-Lohgock
- Mega-Schlapor
