On Sunday, November 5, 2023, there will be a Community Day with Felino and Paldea-Felino in Pokémon GO. We will show you all the content, bonuses, and how to make the most of the event.
What kind of event is this? The Community Day takes place monthly and always focuses on a specific Pokémon. This time, however, there are two different variants of a monster to catch.
Felino and its Paldea variant are the Pokémon of the day. This is special because the Paldea version can be caught for the first time ever in Pokémon GO. This also marks the debut of its evolution, Suelord.
We will show you all four monsters here:
Can Felino be shiny? Yes, both Felino variants will be available as shinies. The chance of catching shiny versions of the two monsters is higher than usual, as is customary for Community Day.

Community Day in November with Felino & Paldea-Felino – Start & Bonuses
When? Sunday, November 5, 2023 – From 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Exclusive attacks: Wet Tail for Morlord, Lots of Daring for Suelord, if you evolve them by 10:00 PM at the latest
Bonuses:
– Paldea-Felino and Suelord celebrate their debut
– Increased shiny chance for both Felino versions
– Double catch candies
– 1/4 hatch distance for eggs activated during the event
– Double chance for XL candies from level 31
– Lure modules and incense last for 3 hours (not the daily adventure incense)

Bonuses until 10:00 PM local time:
– An additional special trade
– 50% less stardust cost for trading
More content on Community Day: As is now customary, you will have the chance to participate in bonus raid battles of level 4 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Felino and Paldea-Felino will also participate in these battles.
If you defeat them, more Felino & Paldea-Felino will appear around the gym for 30 minutes. They will also have an increased shiny chance.
In addition, as usual, there will be a special research in the shop for around 1 Euro, focusing on Felino and the Paldea variant. We will show you the contents of the “A Muddy Buddy” ticket as soon as they are known.
Who should participate in the Community Day with Felino and Paldea-Felino?
For collectors: If you want to complete a full Pokédex, you should definitely participate to secure the Paldea variant and then also Suelord. It is a new release that should be noted in your collection.
Shiny hunters will also get their money’s worth since both versions can be obtained as shinies.
For fighters: As raid attackers, the Felino variants and their evolutions are not particularly interesting. However, the situation is different in PvP: According to PvP expert JRE47 (via reddit), Morlord can impress with its new Community Day attack. Suelord could also fill an exciting niche in the Super League.
Both versions are interesting if you are active in the battle league.
How to prepare for the Community Day in November 2023
Make space: Since a new Pokédex entry needs to be filled, you should create some space. This way, you won’t have to constantly check whether you’ve collected a strong specimen and delete it if not, but can collect leisurely and review your catches after the event.
Use the search term 0*, 1*, 2* to show all monsters under 3 stars in your collection. This helps when you want to organize your storage.
Prepare items: With items, you can make even more out of the bonuses. This includes:
- Enough balls: Make sure you have enough balls for the event so that you don’t suddenly have to go on a PokéStop hunt to replenish your stock. Get them from stops, gyms, and gifts.
- Sananaberries: This will double your catch candies to quickly collect enough for leveling and evolving.
- Egg incubator: Make sure your egg incubator is as empty as possible when the event starts, so you can take advantage of the reduced hatch distance.
Additionally, you can rely on incense and lure modules to attract more spawns, as they last for 3 hours during the event.
Which Mega Pokémon should I activate? Active Mega Pokémon provide you with additional candies when catching if you have the right type. The following are suitable for this Community Day:
- Proto-Groudon
- Mega-Steelix
- Mega-Walrein
All three have the ground type, which brings you bonuses for both Felino variants. The water or poison type would also work but would only bring you extra bonuses for one Felino.
