When does the Community Day Classic run? The Community Day Classic runs on Saturday, September 02. The event takes place from 14:00 to 17:00 local time.
What is the event Pokémon? Glumanda is the main Pokémon of the event.
It should be noted, however, that this is already the third time that Glumanda is the star of a Community Day.
The Community Day Classic is fundamentally meant to bring back popular C-days from long ago that new players may have missed. This is likely to be the case here.

What about Shiny Glumanda? The main bonus will be significantly increased Glumanda spawns appearing everywhere in the game.
Furthermore, the shiny rate will be noticeably increased. So if you haven’t caught a Shiny Glumanda, -Glutexo, or -Glurak yet, you’ll have another very good chance here.

What special attack is available? The two special attacks for Glurak are returning. It learns, if you evolve Glutexo into Glurak during the event or up to 2 hours after:
- The quick attack “Feuerodem” of the Dragon type
- The charge attack “Lohekanonade” of the Fire type

Who is the Community Day Classic with Glumanda worthwhile for?
Glumanda is a classic when it comes to Pokémon and should be the favorite Pokémon for some trainers. If you haven’t secured the monster – or at least its shiny variant – yet, you should keep an eye on the day.
How strong is Glumanda? The evolution Glurak is a useful Pokémon in PvP. Additionally, you can use the Mega Evolutions of Glurak very well in raids, they belong to the best Fire attackers in Pokémon GO.
How to prepare for the Community Day Classic
Use the Stardust: If you want to gather a lot of Stardust, it is worth igniting a star piece if you have one available. However, keep in mind that just a few days later there will even be quadruple Stardust when the Hyperbonus is active. Secure your items: Plan enough Poké Balls, around 200 to 300 should be sufficient if you want to catch without pause. Pay attention to Nanab Berries as well, as they give you double candies when you catch. This helps if you want to play for a limited time and need a lot of candies quickly.
Create space: Use the filter function to create space and sort your Pokémon collection. For example, with the search term
- ‘0*, 1*, 2*’
shows you the game only monsters that are worse than 2 stars. If you plan to collect a lot, this can be worthwhile.
