What kind of bonus is this? In Pokémon GO, there are currently two bonuses that are really worth it if you want to level up or replenish your stardust supplies.
- You will receive quadruple XP when catching.
- And you will receive four times the amount of stardust when catching.
How long does the bonus last? Both bonuses are valid until January 8, 2025, at 8:00 AM. So you have a few days to take advantage of the bonuses, but not too long. Make sure to catch some monsters by then.
Why is there this bonus? Recently, there was a global challenge that applied to the entire community worldwide. 175,000,000 “good” throws had to be completed. Once that was accomplished, the bonus was activated.
As a result, you now have a fantastic opportunity to collect XP for leveling up and earn a lot of stardust. After all, you always need it – whether for leveling up your Pokémon, learning additional moves, or the use of adventure effects.
How to take advantage of the current bonus in Pokémon GO
How can I collect particularly a lot of XP? Every catch you perform in Pokémon GO consists of several factors that all provide XP. All these factors are quadrupled by the bonus. These factors include, for example, the following, but there are more:
- The first catch of the day gives you 1,500 XP, so during the bonus it gives 6,000.
- A great throw gives you 1,000 XP, currently 4,000.

How do I use the stardust bonus? There are fewer controllable factors here. However, you can pay attention to catching Pokémon with weather boosts, which provide more stardust. Additionally, you can increase your yield by half by using a star piece. Moreover, there are some Pokémon that inherently give more stardust.
