The Plant Event in Pokémon GO brings us an increase of Plant Pokémon this weekend. Bulbasaur, Oddish, and Owei may appear more frequently.
Spontaneously, the developers from Niantic announced an event yesterday that is supposed to start today. For the global blooming, there will be a larger occurrence of Plant Pokémon, which trainers will encounter more frequently in the wild. Players are now wondering which Pokémon could appear more often. Because not all green monsters belong to the Plant type. We show you which Plant Pokémon are currently available in Pokémon GO and could be relevant for the event.
Plant Event 2017 – These Pokémon are available
Today, the Plant Event of Pokémon GO starts, which not only brings you the frequent occurrence of Plant Pokémon but also special bonuses for the lure modules. The following Pokémon belong to the first or second generation and are of the Plant type. Therefore, they could appear more often during the event (we have not listed Pokémon that require evolution stones). It is still unclear which special monsters Niantic is focusing on.

Are Chikorita and Bulbasaur particularly frequent?
On Twitter, various Pokémon accounts point out upcoming events to keep trainers informed. For the upcoming Plant Event, the Pokémon Company’s account featured Chikorita and Bulbasaur in the header image. So it is likely that these two monsters will appear frequently over the next few days.
Opportunities for Plant Pokémon Hats are also available
A few weeks ago, the Water Festival was active in Pokémon. This event led to an increase of Water Pokémon in the game. As a special gimmick for the trainers participating in this event, there was the stylish Karpador Hat. An absolute eye-catcher in the game.
Perhaps the developers will continue with this kind of cosmetic items and reward trainers during the Plant weekend with a nice Plant Hat. There would be enough options: A Budew that serves as a propeller hat with its green leaves or a Tangela that forms a dense hat with its blue vines would be interesting headgear.
