In Pokémon GO the 2nd part of the event for the 30th anniversary begins. Here, you can also expect a variety of monsters and an interesting bonus.
What kind of event is this? On Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM, the 2nd part of the current anniversary event starts. It is called “30 Years of Pokémon: Boundless” and is active until Monday, March 9, 2026, at 8:00 PM.
It seamlessly follows the first part of the event. While you could mainly catch monsters from the Kanto region here, the 2nd part focuses on all generations. Legendary monsters are also included.

Which monsters are there in the wild? According to the announcement for the event on pokemongo.com, you can catch almost all monsters in the wild that exist in the game during the event. These are supposed to appear in different biomes of the game, depending on their natural habitats.
Excluded are mysterious monsters, Ultra Beasts, costumed and regional monsters, special forms of monsters, and some Pokémon that you cannot find in the wild. The following monsters are mentioned as examples:
- Mewtwo
- Farbeagle
- Ninjatom
- Kecleon
- Giratina
- Zoroark
- Ignivor
- Ramoth
- Purmel
- Puponcho

With the exception of some monsters on this list, legendary Pokémon are not explicitly excluded from the event. It is therefore assumed that you can also find these in the wild during the event. This fits in with the fact that the legendary birds Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres were also catchable in the wild during the 1st part of the event.
What bonus is active? The bonus that is active during the event also corresponds to the possibility that legendary monsters can appear in the wild. If you activate the item Incense to attract Pokémon, you can also lure legendary monsters with it, at least if you are very lucky.
Is the GO-Pass still active? Yes. You can continue to earn points for the event’s GO-Pass. The limit on daily points is even lifted during the time from Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 00:00 until the end of the event on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 19:59.
If you are aiming for the Mewtwo in the GO-Pass, you can use these days to earn points and claim the monster.
