In Pokémon GO a new event has been announced. And it brings you some interesting content.
What kind of event is this? The event, named “Breathtaking Variants,” will start on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM and end on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 8:00 PM.
In addition to the debut of a new Pokémon, some free research, and various monsters, you can also receive a mysterious Pokémon at the event. However, only under one condition.
Breathtaking Variants – All Content
What is this mysterious Pokémon? There will be a free special research in the event that you will receive if you log into the game after the event starts. Here, the mysterious Pokémon Marshadow awaits you as a reward.
If you have already received Marshadow by purchasing a ticket at GO Fest 2024, you will not receive a second copy. Instead, you will receive candies for the monster.
In both cases, you can be pleased with the Pokémon or the additional candies because with Marshadow you will get a good attacker.
Which Pokémon is making its debut? With the event, Paldea-Taur will also make its way into the game. The Pokémon is available in 3 different variants: Battle, Flame, and Flood variant. You can find the monster in 3-star raids.
Each of the 3 variants is available in different regions. The Battle variant is available on the Iberian Peninsula, the Flame variant in the eastern hemisphere, and the Flood variant in the western hemisphere. In Germany, you will encounter the Flame variant.
The regular variant of Tauros is a regional monster, which is otherwise only available in the USA and parts of Canada and Mexico. If you have not yet obtained a copy, you can fill another entry in your Kanto Pokédex with this monster.

- double experience points when catching monsters
- increased shiny chance on Schalellos
