In Pokémon GO, the first part of the Halloween event has begun. We take a look at the most exciting Pokémon that the event brings.
What kind of event is this? The Halloween event started on October 20 and brought a changed map, spooky music at night, and of course, a lot of monsters.
The spawns are largely themed around Halloween, many ghost and dark-type monsters are out and about.
But which ones should you go looking for during the event? We will take a look at some of the most interesting monsters.
Giratina (Altered Form)
Why is Giratina worth it? Giratina in the altered form is one of the top monsters in the Ultra League, making it a very good catch for fans of the PvP mode in Pokémon GO.
Additionally, it can also be caught as Shiny, making it an option for collectors. Between October 20 and November 1, you can get it with the move Shadow Force.

Makabaja and Galar-Makabaja
Why is Makabaja worth it? Both Makabaja and Galar-Makabaja are usually not easy to find in the wild, but they have appeared around Halloween in the past. This year, both are easy to catch, as they are part of the new special research for the event.
Both versions also have the chance of being Shiny, and Galar-Makabaja is available as a new shiny monster.

Mega-Banette
Why is Mega-Banette worth it? Mega-Banette is also newly introduced in the game with the Halloween event and can only be unlocked through Mega Evolution. To do this, you need Mega Energy, which you can get from raids with Mega-Banette.
The ghost Pokémon ranks among the best attackers for raids and can also boost other ghost-type monsters in your party. If you missed Mega-Gengar, this is a good alternative.

eF-eM
Why is eF-eM worth it? The little bat is not only a quite rare monster, but also a new shiny release for the event. You now have the chance to encounter a shiny eF-eM – although the chances are very low.
You can also find eF-eM during the event in 7-km eggs, which you can receive from friends. There, the shiny chance is said to be a bit higher. Generally, it is worth catching every eF-eM you see – as its evolution UHaFnir requires a total of 400 candies.
Where can you find eF-eM? In 7-km eggs and in the wild, although it is very rare there. However, there is hope that there could be more eF-eM spawns throughout the event – as Pokémon GO released a mysterious teaser via Twitter. However, there is currently no further information on this.
Where is Kryppuk?
What about Kryppuk? Kryppuk is also a Halloween classic that has been available in the past during Halloween. This year, however, it seems that the rare monster is only available as a reward in the 6-euro research from the shop. It is currently apparently not findable in field research or similar.
Are more Pokémon coming for Halloween?
In general, you can find plenty of wild ghost Pokémon in the game, which you don’t see that often besides the monsters from the list. For example, monsters like Paragoni or Irrbis are currently spawning. The Pumpkin Monster is also special as it can come in different sizes.
