The field research for December in Pokémon GO is out. The research brings a new Shiny and a Pandir form.
The new field research focuses on no specific type. It summarizes all field research from the last months and includes a few Pokémon from each month. Additionally, you can catch a new Pandir form and another Shiny takes the spotlight.
We will show you which field research is coming your way and which Shiny is waiting for you.
These quests await you in December
Summary of all previous quests: December is all about a review of the entire year. For some time now, each month has focused on a specific type, and the quests have revolved around this type. In November, everything was in the sign of Bug type.
Now, Pokémon from all months are taken and compiled into quests for December. The research breakthrough also brings all legendary Pokémon that have been able to be caught in breakthroughs so far.
The following quests can be completed:
Hatch eggs
- Hatch an egg
- Reward: Encounter with an Owei or Lanturn
- Hatch 3 eggs
- Reward: Encounter with a Magmar
- Hatch 5 eggs
- Reward: Encounter with a Chaneira
Catch Pokémon
- Catch 5 Pokémon of type Fire, Water or Grass
- Reward: Encounter with a Camaub
- Catch 5 Pokémon with weather bonus
- Reward: Encounter with a Quapsel or Vulpix
- Catch 10 Pokémon
- Encounter with a Karpador (can be shiny)
- Catch a Dragon type Pokémon
- Reward: Encounter with a Dratini (can be shiny)
Special Throws
- Land a great curveball throw
- Reward: Encounter with a Pandir (Form 6)
- Land 3 curveball throws in a row
- Reward: Encounter with an Entoron
- Land 3 great throws
- Reward: Encounter with a Nebulak (can be shiny)

- Battle 5 times in a gym
- Reward: Encounter with a Machollo
- Use a super effective charged attack in 7 battles
- Reward: Encounter with an Elektek
Other Quests
- Send 10 Pokémon
- Reward: Encounter with a Traunfugil (can be shiny)
- Trade a Pokémon
- Reward: Encounter with a Barschwa
- Use a power-up 5 times
- Reward: Encounter with a Glumanda, Bisasam or Schiggy (can all be shiny)
- Evolve a Pokémon
- Reward: Encounter with an Evoli (can be shiny)
- Send 5 gifts to friends
- Reward: Encounter with a Golbat
New Shiny in Pokémon GO
Shiny Traunfugil: This month also features a new Shiny to catch. The Ghost Pokémon Traunfugil has been discovered in its shiny form. Traunfugil can then be evolved with the Sinnoh Stone.
Traunfugil from quest: You can also find Traunfugil in a quest. “Send 10 Pokémon” gives you the chance to encounter the ghost Pokémon. This quest should be easy to complete.
Other Shinies from the quest: You can also get additional Shinies from field research. You can obtain all starters or even Karpador and Larvitar as Shiny from the quest this month.
New Pandir Form Number 6
Additionally, a new Pandir form awaits you in December. You can now obtain Pandir Number 6 from the quest “Land 3 nice curveball throws in a row”.
Red eyes: The Pandir can be recognized by its red eyes and two red spots on its ear. Each Pandir differs by various red spots on its body.
