When does Día de Muertos run? The event starts on Wednesday, November 1 at 10:00 AM and ends on Thursday, November 2 at 8:00 PM. Thus, you can utilize the bonuses for almost two days, but be mindful of the time, as it will end on Thursday after 8:00 PM.
What kind of event is this? Día de Muertos, in German “Day of the Dead,” is a Mexican holiday. However, it is not a sad occasion, but rather a colorful celebration to honor the deceased.
The festival is also incorporated into Pokémon GO as an event.
What bonuses does Día de Muertos bring?
You can take advantage of a total of four bonuses that are active until Thursday evening:
- Perfectly costumed Pokémon appear
- Lures last for 90 minutes
- Smoke lasts for 90 minutes (does not apply to daily adventure smoke)
- There are double catch candies
Additionally, players in Latin America and the Caribbean can receive extra candies for sending Pokémon.

The wild appearing costume Pokémon are:
- Tragosso with Campasúchil crown (with luck)
- Zwirrlicht with Campasúchil crown. It was already around last year.
Both can also be found as Shiny.
