During the Fire and Ice event in Pokémon GO (Solstice event), you will find more Pokémon of the mentioned types. These monsters are included.
To celebrate summer in the Northern Hemisphere and winter in the Southern Hemisphere, the Fire and Ice event starts in Pokémon GO. You will be rewarded during the Solstice event with the more frequent appearance of Fire and Ice Pokémon in the wild.
We will show you which monsters belong to the mentioned types that you will find more frequently in the wild in the coming days.
Fire Pokémon Overview
After there were already more frequently found Water-, Rock-, and Grass Pokémon in the wild during past events, the new event continues now with Fire Pokémon. Together with Ice-type monsters, you will find them more frequently on your adventures in the coming days.
To let you know which Fire monsters will appear more frequently during the Solstice event in Pokémon GO, we show you an overview of them:
- Charmander, Charmeleon, Charizard*
- Cyndaquil, Quilava, Typhlosion*
- Vulpix, Ninetales*
- Growlithe, Arcanine*
- Ponita, Rapidash*
- (Eevee, Flareon)*
- Houndour, Houndoom*
- Slugma, Magcargo
- Magmar*
Eevee and Flareon are listed in parentheses because it is uncertain how the more frequent spawning of these Pokémon will behave. Normally, Eevee is a “Normal” type and should therefore not appear more frequently. However, there is a Flareon shown on the official artwork for this event. Therefore, there could be more frequent Eevee spawns leading to Flareon.
How to evolve Eevee into Flareon, Jolteon, or Vaporeon using the name trick, you can find out here.
Ice Pokémon Overview
Until June 20, you have the opportunity to catch many monsters of the “Ice” type and add them to your collection. Which Ice Pokémon could appear more frequently during the event, our Ice Overview:
- Seel, Dewgong
- Clamperl, Huntail*
- Swinub, Piloswine*
- Roselia
- Lapras
- Sneasel*
The Pokémon marked with a star were specifically mentioned by Niantic in the press release for the Solstice event in Pokémon GO. We expect these monsters to occur noticeably frequently in the wild.
