In Pokémon GO there is a maximum storage capacity for Pokémon and items. This is finally being increased.
What was the storage capacity so far? The storage capacity for Pokémon and items in Pokémon GO is limited. So far it was a maximum of 6800 Pokémon and 5800 items, if you have increased these up to this point. This has now been raised.
What is the new storage capacity for Pokémon and items? With the increase that has been implemented today, you can now store more Pokémon and items. The capacities have been increased by 500 each, with 7300 for Pokémon and 6300 for items.
In order for the update to take effect for you, you simply need to close and reopen the game if the update is not yet active for you.

How can I increase the storage capacity? To increase the capacities for Pokémon and items in Pokémon GO, you need a specific item that you can purchase in the in-game shop. This is the Pokémon Storage if you want to increase your Pokémon capacity and the Item Bag if you want to do the same for items.
These items cost 200 Poké Coins each in the in-game shop. In addition to the option to earn 50 Poké Coins in Pokémon GO daily, you can also purchase them for real money.
How much does it cost to maximize capacity with a new account? To maximize the capacities with a new account, you need 51,800 Poké Coins. If you want to earn these, you either need a deep wallet or have to be very patient. Buying the Poké Coins for real money would cost you just under 380 €.
If you want to collect the Poké Coins through gyms, at the current maximum of 50 Poké Coins per day, it would take you a total of 1036 days. This is equivalent to 148 weeks.
Of course, if you want to increase your storage capacities, you can do this gradually and do not have to do it all at once.
Who needs so much storage capacity? Even though the previous storage capacities are sufficient for most trainers, there are still some who will be pleased with the increase. Especially for trainers who collect Pokémon in all variants and forms and set up various teams for raids and the GO Battle League, the increase could be a joy.
