In June 2021, there are changed field researches in Pokémon GO. Here you will find an overview of the current challenges.
What’s new? In Pokémon GO, the “Season of Discovery” has begun, which has changed spawns, eggs, and raids. There are also some changes in the field researches in June, with new rewards.

June Field Research Overview
Here you will find all known field researches in June, where you can encounter Pokémon as a reward (via reddit / LeekDuck). All Pokémon marked with an asterisk (*) can also be encountered in their shiny variant.
There are different types of field researches. Some require particularly good throws, specific Pokémon, or battle successes. You can find the various field researches categorized here.
Catching: In these tasks, you must catch a specific number or type of Pokémon. There are no particularly exciting Pokémon, but for example, Magnetilo or Dratini can evolve into strong attackers. With luck, you can get new additions for your shiny collection in these tasks, as the Pokémon are usually already available in their shiny variant.

- Use 10 berries while catching Pokémon

Throwing: In these tasks, you must master a series of difficult throws. You need to hit Pokémon particularly well – sometimes multiple times in a row.
Here are monsters like Liliep or Anorith, which were needed for some special researches – if you haven’t completed those yet, this could be your chance. Additionally, the Pokémon Pandir is included in its fifth form, which cannot be obtained outside of research tasks. The previously very rare Kaumalat is also available, which, upon its evolution, Knakrack, is one of the best attackers in the game. However, you can also secure it during the Community Day taking place in June.

Fighting: In these tasks, you must use your Pokémon in various battle variants. Compete in PvP, raids, or against Team Rocket to complete the tasks.
There are also some shinys and monsters available in June that were in demand in special researches. With Galar-Porenta, you will find a monster in the researches that you usually only get through eggs, and that has an interesting evolution. Additionally, Hydropi is available, whose evolution Sumpex is a strong attacker and popular in PvP.

Buddy / Friends: These tasks require interaction with your buddy Pokémon or players on your friends list. This time, the following rewards are hidden:

- Earn one candy by walking with your buddy
- Encounter with Makuhita*
- Earn 2 candies by walking with your buddy
- Encounter with Scoppel*
- Earn 3 candies by walking with your buddy
- Encounter with Flunschlik
- Send 3 gifts to friends
- Encounter with Lampi*
- Trade a Pokémon
- Encounter with Georok
Various: Here are the remaining field researches, where you can encounter Evoli, among others. This can be worthwhile if you need a good specimen for the new evolution Feelinara. You can also encounter starters from different generations, which usually make good attackers. Tanhel is also available in the tasks, whose evolution Metagross is among the best attackers in the game.

Further event-related field researches are also expected. Among other things, an event concerning Flegmon will start in June that should bring special tasks.
In the coming weeks, June still has a lot in store for the trainers. Among other things, a yet unknown raid boss will appear. Additionally, there will be plenty of spotlight hours and raid hours.
