The first day of the Pokémon GO Fest 2020 has started and brings some surprises. There are 6 new Shinys and even the release of the new Pokémon Rotom.
What happened? The GO Fest 2020 has started and has some surprises in store. To let you know exactly what to expect, we show you the overview of the event.
Trainers in New Zealand and Australia have already played over half of the event and can reveal numerous bonuses.
Shiny Icognito, Rotom and Furnifraß
These are the new Shinys: There are a lot of brand new Shinys. Additionally, there are special hat Pokémon and a Shiny that could not be caught in the wild before.
These Shinys are new:
- Furnifraß
- Fermicula
- Icognito (at the GO Fest, there are the letters G and O)
- Tangela
- Baldorfish
- Fleknoil
- Bisasam, Glumanda, and Schiggy with Pikachu-Cap
- Pummeluff – Could previously only be evolved from Fluffeluff
Especially interesting here is Shiny Icognito. Outside of events, it is probably the rarest Pokémon in the game. It’s best to secure a Shiny at the GO Fest.
This Pokémon is new: Another surprise is the Pokémon Rotom. You can obtain it through a snapshot. Take photos of one of your Pokémon up to 5 times a day and get the chance to get the washing form of Rotom.
Rotom can hide in different household appliances. Currently, there seems to be only the washing form of Rotom.
These are the global challenges: Each habitat has a different global challenge that needs to be solved. If you solve them together, you unlock the hyper bonus for after the GO Fest.
These global challenges are available:
- Friendship Habitat: Send gifts
- Battle Habitat: Fight in raids
- Fire Habitat: Catch fire Pokémon
- Water Habitat: Land great throws
- Plant Habitat: Use berries
The players who have already completed the challenges report that the tasks were quite easy. They took a maximum of 16 minutes and were easy to accomplish.
These raid bosses are available: New raid bosses are waiting for you at the GO Fest. They can also be fought without a ticket for the event. These include:
- Level 1 Raid: Klikk, Praktibalk, Piepi
- Level 2 Raid: Kaumalat, Alola-Kokowei, Kirlia
- Level 3 Raid: Panzaeron, Aerodactyl, Chaneira
- Level 4 Raid: Bisaflor, Glurak, Turtok
- Level 5 Raid: Kyogre, Groudon, Kyurem
Especially interesting here is Kaumalat. The Pokémon is usually quite rare, but now appears in raids. You should try to catch the Pokémon as often as possible in the raid. It is still unclear whether there will be another such good chance to catch Kaumalat after the GO Fest.
As legendary raid bosses, Kyogre and Groudon are back. Both can also be shiny. So anyone still needs a specimen should take their chance.
Are there event eggs? Yes, the 7 km eggs contain special Pokémon during the GO Fests. We show you a picture of the confirmed monsters here:
What else should you know? On the first day, the focus is clearly on catching Pokémon. Try to collect as many Shinys as possible, as there are some new and rare Shinys to obtain.
