Today marks the first day of the worldwide GO Fest 2023 in Pokémon GO. We will show you what to expect on Saturday.
When does the GO Fest 2023 start? Day 1 of the global GO Fest starts at 10:00 AM local time on August 26, 2023, and runs until 6:00 PM.
Throughout the day, there will be rotating habitats with various spawns that bring changing challenges and bonuses.
How can I participate? Generally, there are some event content available without a ticket throughout the weekend. Alternatively, you can purchase a ticket for around 15 euros in the shop, which offers additional bonuses.

What is happening on Saturday at GO Fest 2023?
Special research with Diancie: If you purchased a ticket, you will receive the special research with Diancie at the start of the event. This grants you various bonuses when you complete a total of 6 research steps.

Showcases: You can also submit Pokémon in showcases on Saturday to receive rewards. Pikachu and Viscora are the competition Pokémon.
Habitats and spawns: Every hour during the event, you will find a different habitat, that is, a Pokémon habitat, in the game. Each brings different Pokémon and always a different bonus.
Sometimes it’s extra XP, sometimes stardust, and similar rewards. However, to receive the bonus, a global challenge must first be solved.
The habitats at a glance:
- 10:00 to 11:00 AM: Habitat Quartz Terrarium
- 11:00 to 12:00 PM: Habitat Pyrite Sands
- 12:00 to 1:00 PM: Habitat Malachite Wilderness
- 1:00 to 2:00 PM: Habitat Aquamarine Coast
- 2:00 to 3:00 PM: Habitat Quartz Terrarium
- 3:00 to 4:00 PM: Habitat Pyrite Sands
- 4:00 to 5:00 PM: Habitat Malachite Wilderness
- 5:00 to 6:00 PM: Habitat Aquamarine Coast

Global challenge at GO Fest 2023: Every hour, all trainers worldwide must complete a different challenge. Once completed, the hour bonus will be unlocked.
The tasks are also important for the so-called hyper bonus: it will be unlocked when all tasks are completed. As a reward, a special event awaits.

Exciting monsters on Saturday: You should keep an eye on some interesting Pokémon on Saturday. These include:
- Rocara: Found in 2-star raids and is a real monster in PvP.
- You can encounter Snorlax wearing a cowboy hat in raids.
- Each habitat brings its own event Pikachu.
- Strong monsters like Tanhel, Kindwurm, or Kaumalat will spawn. They will become some of the best attackers in Pokémon GO when you evolve them.
- Proto-Kyogre and Proto-Groudon are in the raids. They belong to the best monsters in the game and are worth it.
- You can also find some regional Pokémon on Saturday.
What about Mega-Rayquaza? It will not appear on Saturday, but only on Sunday.
Additionally, there will be a total of 11 new shiny monsters at GO Fest 2023. This includes Viscora, which you can find in the Aquamarine Coast habitat.
Also, Icognito in the M form will be available as shiny on the weekend, but only if you have purchased a ticket.
