The GO Fest 2022 in Pokémon GO has been unveiled. You can expect at least one new Pokémon with Shaymin, along with Shinys and rotating habitats as well as tickets. We will show you all the content.
What is known? Niantic released the event details for the big GO Fest, starting in June. The event runs over two days and brings various bonuses, Shinys, and Pokémon such as Tropius, Shaymin, and Milza.

GO Fest 2022 Overview
When does it start? The event starts on Saturday, June 4th at 10:00 AM local time and runs until Sunday, June 5th at 8:00 PM local time.
How much does it cost? You can purchase a ticket for the event, which costs 15 dollars. This grants you access to this event and also to the final event, which takes place on August 27, 2022.
Do you have to buy a ticket? No. There are many contents you can participate in without a ticket. With a ticket, you get more content, which we list for you here.
Bonuses on Both Days
For all trainers (with and without a ticket):
- You will meet Pikachu in Shaymin costume in Tier 1 raids and in the wild. With luck, you might encounter a shiny version with the costume
- Milza appears on Saturday and Sunday in Tier 1 raids – With luck, you might encounter a Shiny
- Surprise encounters from snapshots
- Snapshots from trainers will be shared in the Today view. Post them online with #PokemonGOFest2022 for a chance to have your photo shared
- New avatar items in the shop (GO Fest 2022 T-shirt, Shaymin hat, Gracidea face stickers)

For ticket holders:
- Up to nine free raid passes for spinning gym photo discs
- You will receive event stickers from gifts and PokéStops
- During the event period on Saturday and Sunday, you will have up to five surprise encounters from snapshots
The August event: The big “final event” takes place on Saturday, August 27th. During the event, there will be a new special research, encounters with special Pokémon, and more content. If you purchase a ticket for GO Fest 2022, you will receive a free ticket for the final event. If you only want to buy a ticket for the final event, it will be available for $10.99 at a later date.
Additional bonus: Niantic offers trainers from various regions the chance to purchase a special T-shirt for GO Fest 2022. The T-shirts can be pre-ordered from the Niantic Supply site.
Day 1 of GO Fest 2022 – June 4 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Challenge (For ticket holders): A global challenge arena will take place. Trainers can work together here to solve a challenge together every hour. If successful, they unlock a bonus for the rest of the hour.
Habitats (For all): During the event, habitats will rotate again, providing you with various Pokémon spawns. You are familiar with this from past events of this kind. They will be active for one hour each and let “thematically appropriate confetti” rain down.
- City: Alolan Grimer, Puppance, Bronzor, Molypork, Golbit, Hitmonchan, Litten, Magnemite, Bidoof, Burmy in trash cloak, Muk
- Smoke spawns (With ticket): Galarian Weezing, Click, Unown (GOUB)
- Plains: Bamelin, Rotomurf, Dummisel, Girafarig, Larvitar, Leufeo, Camaub, Nailbot, Geronimatz, Snuggle helm, Snivy
- Smoke spawns (With ticket): Milza, Qurtel, Unown (GOUB)
- Rainforest: Bithora, Panflam, Laukaps, Hydropi, Bauz, Samurzel, Knilz, Algitt, Bummelz, Chelast, Toxiped
- Smoke spawns (With ticket): Pam-Pam, Tropius, Unown (GOUB)
- Tundra: Arktip, Petznief, Meditie, Amonitas, Piplup, Robball, Seemops, Quiekel, Gelatini, Wailmer, Wingull

New Shinys (For all): The following shiny forms will be available for you starting from the event:
- Knilz
- Camaub
- Laukaps
- Milza
- and Schnuthelm
Raids: On Saturday, you can face the following Pokémon in raids:
- costumed Pikachu
- Kyogre
- Groudon
- Milza
- Arboretoss
- Miezunder
- Marikeck
Ticket: If you purchase a ticket, you will receive a special research with the land form of Shaymin. Additionally, you will receive a Shaymin-themed T-shirt for your avatar as well as a new pose as a reward.
Players can choose between relaxed, standard, and master as the difficulty for the research. The difficulty will determine the sticker rewards. You can also specify whether the research revolves around catches, exploring, or battling. This will alter certain tasks in the research.
In addition, there are four collector challenges for ticket holders that match the respective rotating habitats.
If you purchase a ticket, you will also have increased chances for Shinys from the wild and from smoke. The chance is higher on Saturday than on Sunday.
Day 2 of GO Fest 2022 – June 5 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
On the second day, there will be many bonuses for you again. Some exclusive content for ticket holders and plenty of content for all players – including those who play without a ticket.
Challenge (For all): A global challenge arena will take place. Trainers can work together here to solve a challenge together every hour. If successful, they unlock a bonus for the rest of the hour.
New Pokémon (For all): A previously unknown Pokémon is entering Tier 5 raids. It could be the Pokémon Zygarde that trainers claim to have found in the official promo image for the event.
Spawns: All Pokémon available on the first day will also be available on day 2. Additionally, there will be Pikachu in Shaymin costumes.
Raids: In Tier 1 raids, you will find Milza. You will also encounter the following raid bosses on Sunday:
- costumed Pikachu
- Snorlax
- Brutalanda
- Shardrago
- Arboretoss
- Miezunder
- Marikeck
- Wuffels
Additionally, there are 9 free raid passes for spinning gyms.
Additionally, there is a short special research for all players, even without a ticket.
Ticket: If you purchase a ticket, you will receive another special research on the second day. This will be unlocked after completing the short special research available to all trainers.
Additionally, ticket holders will encounter Team GO Rocket Balloons more frequently and will receive two mystery components for each encounter with Team GO Rocket grunts that they win.
