The Pokémon GO Fest 2022 is in full swing, along with the research on Shaymin. At the end of it, there’s already a teaser for what awaits us tomorrow.
Warning, Spoiler! If you are currently still playing the GO Fest 2022 and do not want to know what to expect at the end of the special research with Shaymin, then do not read further. Instead, check out our complete guide to GO Fest 2022 .
This is the research: Saturday is dedicated to the research on Shaymin, where you can choose different paths. Each path leads you to the mysterious Pokémon – and of course to Professor Willow, who comments on the whole thing as usual.
This is the hint for tomorrow: The talkative professor congratulates you at the end of your encounter with Shaymin – and notes a strange hole in the sky at the end.
He mentions that it reminds him of Hoopa – at least distantly. But to him, it looks more like a wormhole that has opened up.
And thus it is basically clear what awaits us tomorrow as a secret raid boss.
This will probably be the new 5-star raid boss for GO Fest 2022
This is what the wormhole means: Recently in Pokémon GO, the Ultra Beasts were announced, which you may recognize from the Sun and Moon games of the main series. They are the enemies of the Island Guardians, who appeared in the game over the past few weeks.
These monsters also travel through dimensional portals. “Wormholes” indeed, just as they have appeared above the good professor’s head.
The first of these Ultra Beasts was the jellyfish monster “Anego” in the main games. This was last referenced in connection with Pokémon GO. By now, it is a pretty safe bet that this monster will also appear as a boss tomorrow. Niantic has been keeping quiet about it so far.
What further supports this is your Pokémon storage: If you send multiple monsters there and include legendary monsters as well, you get a message saying: Beware, your selection includes either legendary, mythical Pokémon or Ultra Beasts.
Of course, one of the other Ultra Beasts could also appear as a boss tomorrow. However, this is currently rather unlikely.
