What kind of event is it? The Pokémon GO Fest 2022 is a global event that trainers from all over the world can participate in. It spans two event days.
To utilize all the contents of the GO Fest, you will need a special event ticket. You can find this in the in-game shop of your game and it costs about 17 euros, depending on the vendor.
The GO Fest has numerous Pokémon and shinies ready for you, which will spawn wild or using incense in various habitats. You can also look forward to one or two new raid bosses in the raids. Additionally, bonuses and research round out the event.

During GO Fest 2022, you can encounter numerous Pokémon in the wild, as well as in raids. Some of the monsters will even celebrate their shiny debut. Below we have summarized which Pokémon you can encounter with and without a ticket and where you can find them.
Wild Spawns & Habitats
On Saturday, there will be four different habitats that change every hour for all trainers, regardless of whether you are playing with or without a ticket. Ticket holders who set incense during this time will also attract additional Pokémon. The chances of finding a shiny are increased for ticket holders, especially on Saturday.

Special Research on Shaymin (Landform)
How can you get Shaymin (Landform)? During GO Fest 2022, ticket holders can look forward to a special research task. This revolves around the mysterious Pokémon Shaymin, which you can encounter as a reward in its land form.

Players without a ticket, however, do not receive this special research and thus cannot hope for an encounter with Shaymin (Landform) during the GO Fest.
GO Fest with or without a ticket?
How does the event differ? Those who want to save the nearly 17 euros for the ticket to GO Fest 2022 can also participate in the event without a ticket. For players without a ticket, the announced Pokémon will also spawn on Saturday in the various habitats.
You can also participate in the various raids without a ticket. On Sunday, you will additionally gain access to a short special research. You can also support the global challenges on that day.
However, you will not benefit from the 9 free raid passes as well as the exclusive spawns through incense and the increased shiny rate. You will also have to forgo the special research, especially the one related to Shaymin (Landform).

Brief Tips for GO Fest 2022
To ensure that the GO Fest is a great success for you, you should prepare a bit in advance for the event. Below we have summarized the most important tips. 6 detailed tips for preparing for the GO Fest can be found in our accompanying article.
Clear space: Already create space in your Pokémon and item bag before the start of the event. This way, you won’t have to sort your items and monsters during the GO Fest.
Poké Balls: The most important thing on these two days is that you don’t run out of Poké Balls. It helps to have a generous supply in advance.
Incense: If you have purchased a ticket, make sure to have enough incense available to secure the exclusive spawns during the various habitats.
Plan your route: If you want to catch many Pokémon at this event, it is advisable to plan a good route in advance. Also, make sure there are enough PokéStops and gyms along the way.
Prepare for raids: Keep enough potions, revives, and raid passes ready for your raids. Ticket holders can benefit from the additional raid passes that will be available during the event. Also, coordinate with your friends about which raids you want to participate in together.
Power banks: If you want to play all day, it’s best to use a power bank to recharge your smartphone while you’re on the go. Make sure to charge all your necessary technology in advance.
