Pokémon GO Fest 2022: Choose a path in special research with Shaymin – Which is worth it?

In Pokémon GO, the GO Fest 2022 started on June 4th. This includes the special research with Shaymin, which is divided into the paths Explore, Catch, and Battle. There are three difficulty levels. We help you with your decision.

What kind of research is this? In the special research, you will get the chance to catch a Shaymin for the first time in Pokémon GO. You will receive it in its Land Form.

Through the different paths and difficulty levels, trainers can customize how they want to play the research. We will show you the rewards and differences here so you can easily decide which path is the best for you.

Which path should I choose for the Shaymin research?

The choice depends entirely on which items you want to be rewarded with. In the Battle path, you will receive potions, TMs, and revives that you don’t get in the other paths. Lucky Eggs are only available in Explore and Catch. Incubators are only available in Explore.

We will show you an overview of all rewards and tasks further down – this will help you decide easily. Because depending on the research, the tasks change. Sometimes you will need to battle Team Rocket, sometimes you will walk, and sometimes you will spin PokéStops.

Once you have decided on a path, you should also choose your preferred difficulty. It should be noted that the rewards hardly change – only the color of the stickers that you want to attach to gifts. By choosing higher difficulty levels, you create a greater challenge for yourself.

At the end, you can show off as a “Master” with gold stickers. If you play “casually,” you will only have bronze stickers.

What differences does the difficulty make?

Choosing the difficulty has almost no impact on your rewards. The only change is the stickers you receive in the last chapter of the research. At the “Casual” difficulty, you receive bronze stickers; at “Standard,” you receive silver stickers; and at “Master,” you receive gold stickers.
