The waiting time in raid battles in Pokémon GO causes frustration for many trainers. Either it is too short or too long. A player from the community has now shown a solution for this.
What is the problem? Since the release of raids, Pokémon GO has improved some aspects of gameplay. However, there are still points of criticism where players wish for improvements. One of them is the waiting time.
As the first player to join a lobby, you must wait for a countdown of 120 seconds before the battle begins. This time is meant to prepare for the raid.
The problem is that you cannot skip this waiting time, even if you are adequately prepared. Even in level 1 raids, you have to wait this time. The actual raid battle then lasts maybe 10 to 20 seconds, which is shorter than the waiting time you had to waste beforehand.
Niantic has long been criticized for not offering an alternative here. Players want the ability to click “Ready.” If all trainers in the lobby are ready, the battle could start immediately instead of continuing to wait for the countdown.
A trainer has now shown his solution to the problem and receives a lot of support for it. Such functions are probably something we all wish for in solo raids or raids with friends.
A GO button for raid lobbies

This way, trainers could begin right after joining the lobby and selecting their battle team without having to stare at a countdown for nearly two minutes.

There is also a “+30” button. This should extend the waiting time in the lobby by 30 seconds. And this can also be useful.
You probably know this from your adventures when you encounter a level 5 raid while on the go. You can’t possibly win it alone, so reinforcements are more than welcome. By extending the waiting time, you give other trainers the chance to join the lobby and make a successful battle possible.
Especially in the age of remote raids with friends, this can also be a useful feature when trainers start a call from WhatsApp groups and you only saw it with a delay.
