In Pokémon GO, there was recently an exclusive Pokémon available for real money only. We asked you for your opinion on this – here are the results.
Recently, the Blühende Wunder
event took place in Pokémon GO. Part of the event was a ticket that you could only purchase for real money. The most interesting part of the ticket was the encounter with Zarude, a Pokémon that has not been seen in Pokémon GO for several years.
If you did not purchase the ticket, you had no opportunity to encounter Zarude. Thus, this was an exclusive Pokémon only available for real money.
We asked you for your opinion on this. After you voted diligently, we now present you with the results.
Almost a third of you are willing to spend real money for certain Pokémon
What was that survey about? In the survey, we wanted to know if you are willing to invest money in Pokémon GO for exclusive Pokémon or not. As of April 8, 2024, at 12:44 PM, 1018 people voted. The results are as follows:
No, I generally do not use real money in Pokémon GO
with 421 votes, corresponding to about 41%No, I only spend real money on items and other things
with 292 votes, corresponding to about 29%Yes, if they are rare or strong Pokémon
with 199 votes, corresponding to about 20%Yes, but only if I really like the Pokémon
with 106 votes, corresponding to about 10%
While 70% of you are not willing to spend money on exclusive Pokémon, and even a whole 41% report that they do not spend any real money on Pokémon GO, nearly a third, at 30%, are indeed willing to spend money for the right exclusive Pokémon, provided the Pokémon are rare, strong, or of personal interest.
It remains to be seen whether Niantic will make exclusive Pokémon available for real money more frequently in the future. In the past, there have already been encounters with shiny Pokémon for real money.
