In Pokémon GO there are new developments regarding regional Pokémon. Furnifraß is now appearing in Germany and can be caught here for the first time outside of events.
What’s new: In Pokémon GO the big update “GO Beyond” has launched and there is a big surprise with the regional Pokémon. Two monsters seem to have switched regions.
Furnifraß is now available in Germany, while Fermicula is no longer appearing. You can secure the PokéDex entry for Furnifraß.
Furnifraß in Germany – What you need to know
What is Furnifraß? This Pokémon previously appeared in the western hemisphere. Regions like North and South America had the chance to encounter this monster.
In Germany, Fermicula, the Ant Pokémon, was available instead. It appeared throughout the eastern hemisphere.
Now the regions have switched. Initial trainers from Germany report that they have been able to catch Furnifraß.
Is there a Shiny Furnifraß? Yes, because Furnifraß is an old acquaintance, at least for trainers who had a ticket for the GO Fest 2020. The event released the shiny form and made it available to ticket holders in Germany.
Now you can catch Shiny Furnifraß outside of the event as well in Germany. However, it remains to be seen how rare Furnifraß actually is. Fermicula was among the rarer Pokémon here.
Are there any other changes with the regionals? So far, everything seems normal. No trainer has reported regional Pokémon that are not appearing in their usual regions.
