The development of Rabauz in Pokémon GO can go in three different directions. You cannot influence this, but with a trick you can see whether it develops into Kapoera, Kicklee, or Nockchan.
What is it about? In Pokémon GO, there are special Pokémon like Rabauz, which have different developments.
You know this from Evoli, where it depends on the naming whether it develops into an Aquana/Blitza/Flamara or Nachtara/Psiana.
Rabauz also has several evolution stages, which however depend on its battle values and not on nicknames. This has been discovered by the Pokémon experts of TheSilphRoad. It can develop into Kapoera, Kicklee, or Nockchan based on these values.

Developing Rabauz – What is the trick?
This is how you find out what it will become: To find out into which of the three fighting Pokémon the little brawler will develop, you first need to have the Pokémon evaluated.
Select your Rabauz in your Pokémon storage, then click the menu button at the bottom right and select evaluation. Your team leaders will now inform you about the values of Rabauz and tell you how strong it is. You can see the battle values in the graphic at the bottom left of the app.
The development of Rabauz depends on its highest status value.
- If Attack is Rabauz’s highest value, it will become Kicklee
- If Defense is Rabauz’s highest value, it will become Nockchan
- If Stamina (HP) is the highest value, it will become Kapoera
If two values are equal, the development will be decided randomly. If all three values are equal, the development will also be random.
This way, you can see in detail what Rabauz will evolve into. If you do not have the evolutions yet in your PokéDex, a question mark will initially appear next to the develop button. This trick is good for checking.
If you already have the evolutions in your PokéDex, these will appear directly next to the button as a small image.
Influencing Rabauz’s evolution – This is not possible
This is not what it is about: Unlike Evoli, you cannot actively influence the development of Rabauz. However, you can see before developing what Pokémon the brawler will turn into. There are no nicknames or stones that influence the evolution of the Pokémon.
Item for the evolution? You cannot influence the development of Rabauz with items either. Some Pokémon can only evolve with certain stones. You can see the best evolutions with the Sinnoh stone in Pokémon GO here.
Among the best attackers in Pokémon GO, Nockchan, Kicklee, Kapoera, or Rabauz are unfortunately not included. Pokémon like Lucario have the upper hand. Therefore, you primarily need these evolutions of Rabauz to complete your PokéDex rather than to breed strong fighters.
