What kind of Pokémon is this? Iscalar is a monster of the Dark and Psychic type. It comes from the 6th generation and has been available in the game since September 8, 2021. Additionally, it can evolve into Calamanero. We will show you how this is done.
How to evolve Iscalar
Unlike other Pokémon, the evolution of Iscalar is something very special. Niantic had already hinted in their announcement that the usual 50 candies for evolution will not be enough (via pokemongolive.com).
Already on the Nintendo 3DS and on the Nintendo Switch, players had to turn the device upside down to trigger an evolution for Iscalar. This is now similar in Pokémon GO. In addition to the 50 candies, you must also turn the monster and thus your smartphone.
As you can see in the following YouTube video from M S Gaming BD, you first open the Iscalar you want to evolve. Then you turn your smartphone 180° so that you can see everything upside down. After that, you click the “Evolve” button as usual. This will deduct the 50 candies and the evolution into Calamanero will be carried out.
If you do not turn your smartphone upside down, you will receive a corresponding message when clicking the Evolve button that Iscalar needs help to evolve.

How to get Iscalar
To be able to evolve Iscalar, you obviously need this monster and must also collect a corresponding amount of candies. Therefore, you should catch as many as possible. Iscalar has been found in Pokémon GO since September 8, 2021.
It spawns more frequently in the wild during the event period of the Psychic Spectacle. Additionally, you can encounter it in Level-1 Raids or receive it in the special quests for the event.
