In Pokémon GO, this year’s global GO Fest is currently taking place, where you have the opportunity to encounter the mysterious Rock and Fairy-type Pokémon Diancie with an event ticket. Only trainers who have attended one of the live events in London, Osaka, or New York have already been able to catch the little monster.
However, the Gem Pokémon has another special feature for you, as you can temporarily evolve it into a Mega Pokémon with the corresponding Mega Energy. We will show you below where you can find the associated energy.
How to get Mega Energy for Diancie
Mega Energy from Rocara Raids: In Pokémon GO, there are already a number of Mega Evolutions where you receive the Mega Energy from the corresponding raids. However, this is a bit different for Diancie, as the monster will not be found in the Mega Raids itself.
Nonetheless, you will need to complete raids to get the energy. Fight against the Rock and Fairy-type Pokémon Rocara. This will be available in the Level 2 raids on both event days and reward ticket holders with the corresponding Mega Energy.
In contrast to other Mega Raids, however, this is not particularly much, as trainers report on Reddit. They received only about 10 Mega Energy per raid.
Mega Energy as a reward: Additionally, there will be a special research task for ticket holders that you will receive this Saturday. This revolves around the mysterious Pokémon and, by completing the tasks, will also grant you a total of 300 Mega Energy for Diancie.

Mega Energy through catching: In addition, Rocara appears for ticket holders in the wild when a smoke is active. You can also collect a little Mega Energy through this, but only very little. You will receive just one Mega Energy per catch.
How much energy is needed anyway? To trigger the Mega form of Diancie, you will need a total of 300 Mega Energy.
How to get Diancie & is it worth it?
How to get Diancie: Encountering the Gem Pokémon is exclusive content for trainers who have purchased an event ticket. They will receive a special research task that grants them an encounter with the Rock and Fairy-type Pokémon.

Is the Pokémon worth it? Diancie itself is initially not particularly strong, but through its Mega Evolution, it gains an enormous attack value and its defense is also impressive. With a moveset of Stone Throw and Rock Slide, it makes the little monster one of the best Rock attackers in Pokémon GO.
