Included are the weekly raid and spotlight hours, as well as the big community day featuring Alolan Geodude.
Spotlight Hour on May 17
What happens there? During the spotlight hour on May 17, the Pokémon Magikarp will be in focus from 6 PM for one hour. You will encounter this fish nearly everywhere in the wild. Additionally, there will be a bonus that grants you double XP for evolving Pokémon. The event ends again at 7 PM.
Is it worth it? The event is worth it for various reasons. There is a chance to catch a shiny Magikarp in Pokémon GO. The Pokémon is yellow/gold in its shiny form and is popular among players. Its evolution, Gyarados, is a strong attacker and looks really good as a shiny in red.

Raid Hour on May 18
What happens there? The raid hour on May 18 will feature Kapu-Kime from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Community Day on May 21
What happens there? Every month, Pokémon GO holds a community day, which highlights a selected Pokémon during the event period. In May, Alolan Geodude is the focus Pokémon. Additionally, there will be bonuses such as triple catch stardust, double catch candies, longer lasting incense, reduced stardust costs for trading, and an extra special trade. There will also be a special research task for the price of €1, which you can now even gift to other trainers.
