In Pokémon GO today the Electric Event “An Intuitive Hero” starts, which unlocks the new Pokémon Ignivor and Ramoth. We will show you all the details such as bonuses, shinies, and changes that await you in the coming days.
What new Pokémon are there? The Torch Pokémon Ignivor and its evolution Ramoth, the Sun Pokémon, will be activated for you during the event. You can get Ignivor from 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km eggs. The evolution costs you 400 candies. Additionally, you will have the chance to find Shiny Mantirps for the first time.

An Intuitive Hero: All Bonuses, Shinies, and Changes
How long does the event last? From May 2nd at 10:00 AM local time until May 8th at 8:00 PM local time.
Bonuses: During the event, the following bonuses will be active for you:
- The chance to receive shiny Pokémon from 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km eggs is increased
- You will receive double XP for hatching Pokémon
- You will receive double Stardust for hatching Pokémon
Eggs: In the 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km eggs, you have the chance to receive the new Ignivor. This is currently the only way to obtain the new Pokémon. It will not appear in the wild for now.
In the 7 km eggs are:
- Pantimimi*
- Wonneira*
- Mantirps* (found as Shiny for the first time)
- Praktibalk*
- Laukaps*
- Milza*
- Schnuthelm*
- Viscora
- (Pokémon marked with a star (*) can be caught as Shiny with luck)
Special Research: In line with the Electric Event, you will be able to participate in a Special Research that rewards you with an Elekid wearing an accessory styled after Spark. With luck, it might even be Shiny.
Pokémon from Field Research: New field research tasks you receive after the event starts can reward you with the following Pokémon encounters:
- Magneton
- Chaneira*
- Elektek*
- Magmar*
- Relaxo*
- Mantax*
- Palimpalim*
