The Europe event: During the Safari Zone last weekend, there were issues. Server overload and mobile network outages created a negative atmosphere for many visitors in Westfalenpark. Niantic apologizes for the problems with an event.
How long does the event last? The event started on Tuesday morning, July 3rd at 02:00 AM CEST. It lasts for two days and ends on Thursday morning, July 5th at 1:59 AM CEST.
Niantic thanks trainers for their patience
In a blog post, Niantic thanks the trainers who were patient during the issues in the Safari Zone. To give everyone another chance to catch a Corasonn, it will now appear for 2 days in Europe. There will also be more spawns of Roselia.
Divided opinion in the community: Many trainers welcome this event and are pleased that the regional Pokémon Corasonn is now available even in their villages. This allows trainers who did not travel to access this Pokémon.
Many trainers have noticed negatively that the collector and trading value of Corasonn is currently dropping significantly. Despite the issues, many players were able to catch a Corasonn in the Safari Zone. They wanted to trade it for other rare Pokémon or bring it as a special gift for their friends. They are unhappy that everyone can now easily catch one of these specimens.

XP rewards active – Articuno Day time
Safari goals achieved: Because trainers around the world helped during the Safari Zone with the global challenges, there are now strong XP rewards for everyone.
- 3x XP for catching Pokémon
- 3x XP for hatching eggs
- 2x XP for raid battles
- Lucky eggs now last for one hour
How long are the bonuses available? They will last until July 9th at 10:00 PM CEST.
When is Articuno Day?
Since all tasks have been completed, trainers will be rewarded with Articuno Day. On this day, the legendary Ice- and Flying-type Pokémon Articuno will be available exclusively in raid battles for three hours. If luck is on your side, you might even catch a Shiny Articuno.
When does it start? Articuno Day is on July 7th – In Europe, the event runs from 11 AM to 2 PM. Many already know this timeframe from Community Days in Pokémon GO.
Extra raid passes: Anyone who spins the photo disc of a gym during the event time of Articuno Day will receive up to 5 raid passes.
