On April 20, the Environmental Week 2022 starts in Pokémon GO. We will show you everything about the start, end, contents like the new Pokémon Kommandutan, shinies, and more.
What is it about? The Environmental Week is an event in Pokémon GO that is active for about five days. The contents include the new Pokémon Kommandutan as well as the shiny Kikugi. There will also be special event spawns, eggs, field researches, and Pokémon that are attracted by incense.

Contents of the Environmental Week 2022
New Pokémon: Kommandutan from the seventh generation will join Pokémon GO. You will find it in the game for the first time during the event. It does not have an evolution.
New Shiny: The shiny form of Kikugi will be available to you. This also gives you the chance to obtain Shiny Kinoso in its cloud and sun forms through evolutions.
Boni: In the collector’s task for the event, nature is the focus. If you master the task, you will make progress on your top collector’s medal. The rewards for the collector challenge were announced differently at the last minute.
Additionally, you will receive double XP for the first spin of a PokéStop throughout the event.
Spawns, Eggs, and Researches
Wild Spawns: In line with the event, there will be some special Pokémon to encounter in the wild. However, the chances of finding each specimen are still unclear. Pokémon marked with an asterisk (*) can be found in their shiny form if you’re lucky:
- Myrapla*, Sleima*, Chelast*, Chelcarain, Kikugi*, Unratütox*, Kastadur*, Kommandutan
- If you’re lucky, you may encounter Bisaflor* and Paragoni
Eggs: In the 7-km eggs, other Pokémon are hiding during the event. Keep in mind that only the eggs you receive during the event count.
- Alola-Digda*, Larvitar*, Kikugi*, Kommandutan
Grass Module: During the event, you will receive a free grass incense module in a box. This will attract the following Pokémon during the event:
- Duflor, Ultrigaria, Endivie*, Chelcarain, Kikugi, Strawickl
- If you’re lucky, you may encounter: Alola-Digda*, Blubella, Nincada*
Field Researches: For completing field research tasks, you will encounter:
- Chelast*, Kikugi*, Serpifeu*, Unratütox*, Igamaro or Paragoni
- Additionally, you may receive Mega Energy for Bisaflor or Rexblisar for some researches
