For the first time in Pokémon GO, you can obtain the shiny Rotomurf. What chances should you take?
What kind of Pokémon is this? Rotomurf is a Ground-type Pokémon and belongs to the fifth generation of games. It is fundamentally a very useful monster in Pokémon GO – at least this is true for its evolution, Stalobor.
Stalobor is among the best Ground-type attackers in Pokémon GO and can also impress as a Steel attacker. Furthermore, it has a place in the Master League in PvP, as it is a good counter against some popular monsters in the league.
Accordingly, it is worthwhile to secure a strong Rotomurf. But now you also have the chance for the Shiny.
Where to find Rotomurf? Wilderness, Eggs, Research
This is Shiny Rotomurf: The shiny variant of Rotomurf is now available for the first time in Pokémon GO. On the occasion of the Environmental Week in Pokémon GO , the Shiny was introduced. If you evolve the Shiny, you will get the shiny Stalobor.
This is what the monsters look like:
How do I find Shiny Rotomurf? As always, it is entirely up to chance whether you find a shiny Rotomurf once you click on the encounter. To maximize your chances, you should catch as many Rotomurf as possible.
For this, you can use various options, as Rotomurf is included in many features of Pokémon GO during the event:
- You can currently find Rotomurf in the wilderness during the event.
- It is also included in eggs. Hatch 7 km eggs for a chance at Rotomurf. However, Kikugi and Frubberl are also included.
- During the limited research, you will also encounter Rotomurf.
Additionally, there are several field research tasks that you can use to unlock a possible Rotomurf encounter. These include:
- Catch 3 Ground-type Pokémon
- Use 5 berries while catching Pokémon
- Feed your buddy 3 times
Once you have completed the tasks, you will encounter a Rotomurf – and then you have to hope that it is a Shiny.
Have you already caught a Shiny Rotomurf? If so, where did you get it? Tell us in the comments!
With Rotomurf, the normal variant is very easy to distinguish from the shiny variant. However, there are also some shiny Pokémon where the differences are minimal. Can you spot them?
