The Egg Pool in Pokémon GO was revamped at the end of 2019, but it seems that one category was overlooked: The Adventure Sync Eggs have remained untouched for months.
These are the eggs in question: Anyone who walks at least 25 kilometers a week will receive a reward of a 5 km egg. At 50 km per week, there’s even a 10 km egg. These eggs contain different Pokémon than the regular eggs and form their own egg pool.
This pool has not been updated for months and still contains many old Pokémon. New monsters are scarce.
The Egg Pool urgently needs an update
Which Pokémon are included? In total, there are 12 different monsters. Here’s the overview:
- 5 km eggs:
- Shnebedeck
- Glibunkel
- Wadribie
- Finneon
- Bronzel
- Bamelin
- 10 km eggs
- Riolu
- Dratini
- Kindwurm
- Sheinux
- Tanhel
- Larvitar
What’s the problem? Looking at the Pokémon, they are all monsters that have been in the game for a long time. The “newest” here are Pokémon like Sheinux or Riolu.
In 2019, Niantic conducted a major overhaul of the regular egg pool . During this, over 90 Pokémon were removed, primarily from the first generations. Dratini, Tanhel, or Kindwurm have not been found in regular 10 km eggs since then.
However, Niantic missed this opportunity with the Adventure Sync eggs. These still contain the monsters that have already had a Community Day, where many players have tons of candies.
The disappointment can be great when you walk 50 km and then receive an egg with a Dratini as a reward.
The positive aspect of the egg pool: Since many of these Pokémon were already removed from the regular eggs, at least there is still a chance to get these monsters here. So anyone who has missed Community Days or is still a beginner will be pleased to see Pokémon like Dratini or Kindwurm.
Riolu should also be mentioned here. This Pokémon only appears in 7 km eggs and is quite rare there. Here you at least have good chances of getting a specimen.
This should change: The egg pool should at least receive some new Pokémon. Monsters like Kaumalat or Kapuno would certainly increase the appeal of the eggs.
In return, Niantic should consider removing some of the monsters from the pool. Each of the Pokémon in the 5 km eggs often appears in the wild. Here, new monsters from Gen 5 would certainly be a good change.
