In just a few days, the grand arrival of the Ultra Beasts in Pokémon GO will begin. This weekend, the team will host a Twitch stream and distribute codes for mini-research with Anego. But at a difficult time.
What kind of event is this? On November 26 and 27, an event for the arrival of the Ultra Beasts will take place. Trainers in Los Angeles and London can participate on the 26th, while the content will be available worldwide for a few hours on the 27th.
For the event on November 26, the Pokémon GO team will start a livestream. However, for us in Germany, it happens in the middle of the night. The issue: During the stream, promo codes will be distributed that are only valid for a few minutes.
Update from November 27: Apparently, Niantic has heard the trainers’ feedback and is now offering a worldwide promo code that is valid for several days. Hurry and redeem it quickly: Promo code from November 27 with Anego research and medal.
Livestream for Pokémon GO in the night of November 27
What is happening there? Apparently, the Pokémon GO team is planning a larger live event regarding the Ultra Beasts in Los Angeles. As many trainers as possible should be able to participate. You should also be able to “support trainers on site” while watching the livestream.
The announcement states that during the livestream, codes will be regularly posted in the chat of the Pokémon GO Twitch channel. However, the codes are time-limited.
When does the stream start? In the announcement, it mentions “Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 7:00 PM PST”. For us in Germany, that corresponds to Sunday, November 27, 2022 at 04:00 AM.
What do the codes bring? If you redeem a code, you unlock a medal and research. The medal activates the “Mini Collector Challenge: Anego” for you. You are supposed to catch Anego and will be rewarded with Anego candies. Additionally, you make progress on your Elite Collector medal.
This is problematic: The Pokémon GO team explains in the blog post: “Once a code has been posted, it can only be redeemed for 15 minutes – so you need to be quick! During the broadcast, there are multiple chances to receive a code, in case you couldn’t redeem one in time. The same Mini Collector Challenge will be unlocked for all codes. Only one code can be redeemed per trainer.”
Now it depends on how long the livestream will be active. Maybe one will be lucky if they wake up early Sunday morning and can still grab a code. Anyone else who really wants one needs to set an alarm.
On Sunday, a global event will take place, where you can all participate at normal times. The arrival of the Ultra Beasts: Worldwide brings some of the Ultra Beasts from Pokémon into the raids.
