In Pokémon GO there is a bargain to be had again starting today. Players who enjoy playing raids from home should be pleased.
Update, 10:01 PM: You can now find the new package for 1 coin in the Pokémon GO shop!
Update, 4:20 PM: So far, the bundle is still unavailable. Since Niantic does not specify an exact time in the announcement, a release sometime during the evening is also feasible. Currently, speculation is the only way to address the exact time. At 10:00 PM, the legendary raid boss will switch from Heatran to Cresselia – it’s possible that the passes will come to the shop at this occasion.
Update, 12:50 PM: As of now, the new pass bundle has not appeared in the shop. It remains to be seen when the box will be available.
What’s new? As Niantic announced on Twitter, a new bundle with three Remote Raid Passes will be available in the shop on September 10. It will cost only one coin again – normally, a bundle of 3 passes costs a total of 250 coins. Such a raid “gift” has been offered at the beginning of the month already.
So anyone who needs new Remote Raid Passes should log in to Pokémon GO starting today. Most players still likely have the one coin in their account. If not, it’s enough to complete the daily tasks for coins or briefly take over a gym.
How do I get the gift? The pass bundle will appear in the Pokémon GO Shop. This means: You just need to click on the small Pokéball at the bottom center of your screen to go to the main menu of the game and then click on “Shop”. Normally, the gift boxes appear directly at the top of the shop under “limited time only”, just below your daily free box.

What else should be noted? Anyone who currently has three raid passes in their inventory should at least spend one of them. Otherwise, they will likely not be able to secure the offer – at least that was the case with previous comparable offers. Also, you can only use the offer once, so don’t expect a new free raid box every day.
What’s currently in raids?
Here you can use the passes: On Thursday evening, the raid boss Heatran was replaced by Cresselia. Those who do not yet have the monster in their ranks can use the passes for that, for example.
The first gift appeared shortly after the introduction of Mega Evolutions and matched the new Mega event. The second week of this event starts this Friday – it’s quite possible that this is the reason for the new gift.
During the Houndoom week, trainers are supposed to use Mega Evolutions in battles. And to get those, you need to complete a lot of Mega Raids.
