For Pokémon GO, you can get rewards through Twitch when you follow the Pokémon European Championship.
What’s happening in Pokémon GO right now? The “Pokémon Europe International Championships 2024” are currently taking place in London. The best players in Pokémon GO – just like in the card game, Pokémon Unite, and Pokémon Scarlet / Violet – are competing there.
These championships are also being streamed on Twitch. And if you tune in between Friday, April 5, at 10:00 AM and Sunday, April 7, at 5:00 PM, you can receive a reward for Pokémon GO.
How do you receive the rewards? If you watch a participating Twitch stream for the Pokémon Championship, for example, the Pokémon GO stream on Twitch for 30 minutes, you will receive a personal code as a Twitch Drop. You can redeem it for a limited research.
We have summarized how exactly that works below.
Reward gives you 6 Pokémon for PvP
What kind of reward is this? In the limited research, you will receive tasks that will end with you obtaining various Pokémon. These are the monsters that the winner of the “Latin America International Championships”, LNDsRargef, used.
- Slurpuff
- Lanturn
- Umbreon
- Skorgla
- Medicham
- Akkup
In addition, the research includes 50 Meditie candies, 10,000 Stardust, and a Charged TM.
All these monsters are well suited for the battle league in Pokémon GO. We have tips on how to improve in the battle league here.
How to get the Twitch Drops for Pokémon GO?
You need several things to receive the code. In summary:
- You need a Pokémon Trainer Club account
- You need a Twitch account
- Then you need to link the accounts, which can be done on the official Pokémon site (rewards.pokemon.com).
Once you have done that, you need to watch the corresponding stream for 30 minutes. In the “Drops & Rewards” menu on Twitch, you can track how much you have watched and how much is still left.
- After completion, you will receive a drop, which will be stored in the “Inventory” of your Pokémon account. You can also check this again on the “Rewards” page.
- There you can now display the code.
- You then enter that in the Pokémon GO web store to redeem it in the game.
So several steps are necessary the first time, especially if you don’t have the corresponding accounts, but you want the reward.
Alongside the Pokémon European Championship, there is currently a lot happening in Pokémon GO. For example, you can look forward to the Community Day Classic this weekend, and the current event “Appropriate Surprises” is still ongoing.
