Currently, there is a message circulating in the Pokémon GO community from Niantic. They seem to have prematurely sent out some information. Trainers are suspecting a leak about the next legendary boss: Regice.
What happened? Pokémon GO trainers are eagerly waiting for Niantic to release new information about the raid bosses. And it seems this has been done somewhat involuntarily.
Regice as the next boss? Or the entire trio?
Reddit users receive push notification: On Reddit some users report that they received a push notification stating that the legendary Ice-type Pokémon Regice will appear in Pokémon GO raids until July 19.
What is special about it? There has not yet been an official announcement on Twitter or on Niantic’s blog. Normally, all special changes are announced immediately there. It seems that some trainers received this push notification too early on their smartphones.
Now waiting for confirmation: Players are still somewhat skeptical about this message. They are now eagerly waiting for Niantic to officially announce the successors to Kyogre. This Pokémon is supposed to appear as a raid boss in Pokémon GO only until this evening (June 21). The message might have also been an error, which is why the information is being treated with caution.
Only Regice or the entire trio? It is also unclear whether the trio of Regice, Regirock, and Registeel will divide into 3 regions again, as we have seen with the legendary beasts. It is possible that only Regice will initially come into play for about a month, and then the rest of the trio will be introduced month by month.
Update: In the meantime, the push notification regarding Regice has also reached players in Germany.
There have already been hints for the legendary trio in the code of Pokémon GO today
