In Pokémon GO you can now encounter Staravia in level 4 raids. We at MeinMMO show you in this raid guide the best counters and movesets against the Normal and Flying Pokémon.
What kind of Pokémon is Staravia? Staravia is the first evolution of Staralili. This Pokémon comes from the 4th generation of games and is of the Normal and Flying type. You can also evolve it into Staraptor using 100 candies.

Weaknesses of Staravia: Since Staravia is a Normal and Flying Pokémon, it has a weakness against attacks from the Rock, Electric, and Ice types. Therefore, in battle, it’s best to focus on these.
Is there a Shiny Staravia? Unfortunately, you cannot catch the shiny form after the raid. However, during the Community Day, you can catch Shiny Staralili for the first time and evolve it into Shiny Staravia. You can recognize it by its light brown plumage.
Does the raid provide a bonus? Yes, unlike other raids, you can benefit from a special bonus after defeating the raid boss in the level 4 raid following the C-Day. Wild Staralili will spawn for 30 minutes within a radius of 300 meters around the respective gym. Just like during Community Day, you will have a higher chance of finding a shiny specimen.
How many trainers are needed? The raid against Staravia can already be completed by two trainers with the right counters and a high trainer level. However, to make it a bit easier, you can also look for one or more additional players for the battle.
Please note that you cannot invite trainers via remote raids. Participation is only possible on-site using raid passes and premium battle passes. So it’s best to arrange your joint battles in advance.
