In Pokémon GO the dates for the upcoming Community Days for the next months are now set. In March, April, and May, you can look forward to one Community Day per month as usual. We at MeinMMO summarize.
When do the Community Days take place? Pokémon GO has now announced the dates for the next Community Days on their website. So you should keep the following dates free in your calendar:
- Sunday, March 13, 2022
- Saturday, April 23, 2022
- Saturday, May 21, 2022
Update from February 28: Niantic revealed more info about the Community Day in March. It features Sandshrew and an Egg Bonus.
Which Pokémon the respective Community Days will revolve around is still unknown. Some trainers on reddit are currently speculating strongly about Staraptor, but this has not been confirmed yet; it is merely a frequently appearing speculation.
What is a Community Day? This feature of Pokémon GO involves certain days where a specific Pokémon is in the spotlight. For several hours, you can catch this Pokémon much more frequently, and the Shiny chance is increased.
Additionally, incense items and lures usually last longer, and another bonus, such as more candies, is active on this day. Also, the Pokémon that is the focus that day can learn a special move.
When will there be more information? The season of origins is coming to an end soon, but what comes next? Trainers will find out soon in an update about the next season. In the same update, official information about the Community Day in March is expected.
When there will be further details about the days in April and May is still unknown at this time. We will keep you updated as soon as there is more to tell.
It is also unclear whether there will be another Community Day Classic, as it just recently took place.
The community suspects another event
How are the players reacting? On reddit the latest update about the Community Days is already being hotly debated. But besides various speculations about which Pokémon are waiting for us on the Community Days, fans notice something else.
Some players wonder why the Community Day in April is so late and falls on a Saturday when the day in May is also a Saturday. Many fans suspect that there will be an Easter event and that Niantic does not want it to collide with the Community Day.
- ZlaRaca writes: “There will probably be an Easter event in April, and since Easter is always on a Sunday, the Community Day will be on a Saturday.”
- JRE47 writes: “It’s always good to know the date for such events well in advance, especially since Niantic otherwise tends to communicate sparingly.”
- TheRealHankWolfman refers to the Classic Days: “The Classic Community Day for Bulbasaur was a test and was announced separately. Just because none are listed here doesn’t mean there won’t be one. They may just announce it as its own event.”
