On Saturday, January 19th, the Barschwa event starts in Pokémon GO. A data miner has already leaked the possible quests.
What happened? A few days ago, Niantic announced the first limited research. There you can experience a special event for three hours, similar to Community Day. During this time, you will find special field research that gives you Barschwa as a reward.
The data miner Chrales has now found some quests in the code of Pokémon GO that are meant for this event. They are likely to reward you with Barschwa.
These are the quests for the Barschwa Day
Where do the field researches come from? The data miner Chrales regularly searches through the code of Pokémon GO. This time he stumbled upon four quests that seem to be intended for the Barschwa Day.
These four quests are:
- Barschwa Research: Earn a candy by walking with your buddy
- Barschwa Research: Hatch 1 egg
- Barschwa Research: Land X great throws
- Barschwa Research: Land X good throws
The last two quests are still not definitively clear. It is not yet known exactly how many throws you need to land, but it should not be too hard.
Are these all the quests for the event? It should be clarified that the quests were only found in the code and are not officially confirmed yet. Niantic can add other quests at any time. Only at the start of the event will we know if the discovered field researches are really correct. The event starts in Germany on January 19 at 11 a.m.
What do these field researches tell us? The quests seem to be easy to accomplish. So there should be no problem completing the field researches quickly and finding several quests during the 3 hours of the event.
Since Shiny Barschwa is also confirmed as a reward, it is even better that the quests can be completed quickly. The chance of encountering a shiny Barschwa might increase, as you can complete more quests.
Niantic already informed us: In a tweet, Niantic explained that you will only receive one quest per PokéStop per day, even during the event period. Therefore, you should choose an area with many PokéStops. There you can then complete significantly more quests.
