The release of Pandir (Spinda) in Pokémon GO is getting closer. A data miner found that there were important changes.
What is Pandir? Pandir is a Pokémon that can appear in different forms. Similar to Unown, these forms differ visually.
What has changed? The data miner Chrales regularly provides the Pokémon GO community with news. In a stream, he showed on Tuesday evening that Pandir is now server-side present in Pokémon GO.
Pandir/Spinda in Pokémon GO with 8 forms
Server-side, not in the wild: The changes that Chrales pointed out do not mean that you can now find Pandir in the game. Rather, it is considered another important step that would be necessary for a release. However, since further requirements must still be met, a release is likely still a long way off.
With 8 forms: The different forms of Pandir differ by the spots on the head of the Pokémon. As PokéWiki writes, there are over 4 billion possibilities for how the spots on Pandir’s head can be arranged. However, in Pokémon GO, they are initially limited to eight forms. In the following overview, you can see the different forms:
Is there a release date for Pandir? No. The new information does not indicate when Niantic will release Pandir.
First data found back in March: During data mining for update 0.95.3, first traces of Pandir were found. This was in March 2018.
Waiting for Niantic: It remains to be seen when Niantic will release the major announcement regarding Pandir. Players are actually waiting for further news about Celebi or additional news about the leak of Generation 4.
Goodbye, Straw Hat Pikachu
Event Pokémon gone again: The Summer Pikachu has packed its sunglasses and straw hat and left Pokémon GO. You could find it in recent days to celebrate the second anniversary of Pokémon GO.
No Shinys: To the surprise of many trainers, the Summer family of Pikachu was not active in its Shiny form. Whether Niantic wanted to save the Shinys for another event is still unclear.
