When does the new season start? It begins on March 4, 2025, and runs until June 3, 2025.
Which new Pokémon was revealed? This is the legendary Pokémon Dakuma. The little bear is known from the games Pokémon Sword and Shield – or rather from the “Isle of Armor,” which could be purchased as DLC.
As of now, Dakuma will appear for the first time on March 5, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM. Then the event “Powerful Skill” begins, including the new season special research.
Dakuma can evolve into Wulaosu, which has two forms as well. All variants of the Pokémon can also be seen in the new trailer:
What makes Dakuma and Wulaosu special?
Dakuma is a legendary Fighting-type Pokémon. This one can be obtained throughout the story of the Sword/Shield DLC. After that, the goal is to make it a master fighter.
It’s about mastering Dakuma’s power. And that fits with the title of the new season. Dakuma seems to be the star of the new season. It may involve training the little bear – but this is still just speculation.
To obtain Wulaosu in the main game in Sword and Shield, one must visit one of two towers: The Tower of Darkness or the Tower of Waters. There, one receives a corresponding scroll, with which Dakuma can evolve.
- With the Dark scroll, it evolves into Wulaosu in the focused style. It combines the types Fighting and Dark.
- With the Water scroll, it evolves into Wulaosu in the flowing style and takes on the Fighting/Water types.
No matter which of the two forms it takes: Wulaosu also has the ability to undergo a Gigantamax transformation and become a giant monster. The Dynamax feature was introduced in the last season of Pokémon GO. We are curious to see how exactly Dakuma and Wulaosu will be implemented in Pokémon GO.
