In Pokémon GO there are news about the regional swap of Lunatone and Sunkern. It looks like it could happen soon.
This is Lunatone and Sunkern: The two Pokémon are regional and found in exactly different regions. Lunatone is currently available in Europe, among other places. Sunkern spawns, for example, in America.
Now a swap could be imminent. Several things suggest this, especially a leak from last week fuels this rumor.
Leak confirms the swap of Sunkern and Lunatone
This was found: The Pokéminers (via reddit) have searched through an asset update from Pokémon GO and came across the following statement: “Lunatone and Sunkern appear in other regions”
This is a clear statement and indicates that the two regional Pokémon will soon be found elsewhere.
However, it is not yet clear when it will happen. However, you can already relate it to announced events.
This fits together: Niantic announced the events for June at the end of May. However, they only mentioned the event names and have not released any further information yet.
Among other things, this includes the “Summer Solstice Event.” This event starts on June 19. It would be fitting for the swap of Sunkern and Lunatone, as similar events in the past have already led to the two Pokémon changing their region.
Now it is conceivable that Niantic will use this event as an opportunity to swap both Pokémon again. This would mean that we could find Sunkern in Germany in the future, while Lunatone would disappear from our region.
This must be noted: The above-mentioned finding by the data miners is just a leak. The information is not officially confirmed by Niantic. It doesn’t have to happen just because the data miners found it this way. Nevertheless, it all looks very plausible.
If Sunkern is indeed soon to be found in Germany, then you shouldn’t waste any Poké Balls when catching it. By using a trick you can only use the balls that actually hit the Pokémon.
