After a trailer for Pokémon GO raised hopes of getting a top attacker soon, it’s now confirmed. We will explain which Pokémon it is, how to obtain it, and what restrictions there are.
Which Pokémon is it? Niantic has announced that the mysterious Pokémon Diancie will be made available to all trainers, provided you don’t already have it. After there was initially a trailer hinting at the Pokémon, it is now certain.
How do I get the Pokémon? Starting May 1, 2024, at 10:00 AM, there will be a free special research called Noble Gleam
. This will be permanently available and rewards you with a Diancie upon completion.
Many trainers should be pleased about this. Until now, it was only possible to obtain Diancie at the GO Fest 2023. Those who missed this opportunity will now have the chance to add Diancie to their collection. Trainers who already have it will receive a different reward instead.
Corresponding Mega Energy can also be collected
What if I already have Diancie? If you have already obtained a Diancie at the GO Fest 2023, you will not receive a second one. Instead, you will receive Diancie candies for completing the special research.
How many candies there will be is not yet known. Since mysterious Pokémon cannot be traded in Pokémon GO, every trainer will, according to current information, be able to possess a maximum of one Diancie.
How do I obtain Mega Energy for Diancie? To trigger the Mega Evolution for the relatively weak Diancie and thus make it one of the strongest attackers in Pokémon GO, you will need the corresponding Mega Energy.
This will be available from Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 12:00 AM to Friday, May 3, 2024, at 11:59 PM. To obtain it, you will need to complete field research tasks that you can receive from spinning PokéStops.
In the field research, you can also receive tasks that lead to encounters with Rocara.
