In Pokémon GO, the Environmental Week 2022 begins today, April 20. However, the previously announced rewards for the Collector Challenges were communicated incorrectly.
What kind of event is this? The Environmental Week 2022 runs from April 20 to April 25 and brings the new Pokémon Comfey and the shiny form of Cherubi. In line with the event theme, there will be spawns such as Trubbish and a Collector Challenge.
Initially, Niantic announced that the Collector Challenge would reward you with a Moss Lure Module and 15 Ultra Balls. But just hours before the event started, the team explained that you would receive different rewards.
Collector Challenge now with XP, Balls, and Meganium
These are the “new” rewards: On Twitter , Niantic explained that the original rewards in the blog post arose from miscommunication. The actual rewards are:
- 10,000 XP
- 15 Ultra Balls
- and an encounter with Meganium
And what about the Lure Module? Trainers are asking in the comments on Twitter what will happen to the Lure Module that was initially announced. Because Niantic clearly states regarding the requirements of the Collector Challenge: “Two of the Pokémon you need to catch, namely Oddish and Gloom, only appear at PokéStops with activated Moss Lure Modules.”
The free box in the shop will help you with that. During the event, you will find a free box with a Moss Lure Module there. So you won’t need to buy a Lure Module to complete the Collector Challenge, but can use the free item for that purpose. However, there will not be a second Moss Lure Module.
In the coming weeks, you can expect even more interesting dates. You can find the overview of all events in April 2022 at Pokémon GO here with us.
