Just before the turn of the year, we at Mein-MMO want to take the time to thank you. Our Pokémon GO community has grown considerably in the past year 2017, and we are grateful for that.
For 2018, there are a few changes coming to our site that will bring you many benefits.
Milestone of 10,000 members reached on Nikolaus
On Facebook, we have set up two portals for you that are almost entirely focused on Pokémon GO. To follow our Pokémon news, we have the Mein-MMO Facebook page for Pokémon GO. If you want to stay up to date, follow the page or subscribe to it. Here, the 5000 likes are already within reach.
For exchange with other players, there is also the Mein-MMO Pokémon GO group on Facebook. Here, screenshots are shared, teammates are sought, and questions are answered. On December 6, we together reached a significant goal: We broke through 10,000 members. At this point, a heartfelt thank you for your continuing support; we are very happy that you appreciate our work and enjoy exchanging your adventures with other trainers.
Our group is characterized by a friendly tone and helpfulness. You also help each other out, try to assist with game problems, and enable beginners to have a good start in Pokémon GO.
Even if questions about the best IV calculators, maps, or the new star pieces come up regularly, you remain mostly relaxed and try to help. This is not the case in other groups.
If posts or comments are inappropriate, they are quickly reported and presented to us administrators and moderators for review. As the group grows, we will appoint additional moderators in the future who will take care of the good reputation and the maintenance of the friendly atmosphere in our group.
We find it important to exchange ideas with readers. You can quickly reach us via direct message on Facebook or by comment or email. Feedback and criticism are important to us and have helped us a lot in the past months.
For next year, there are some changes planned for our website that will be of interest to you. We wanted to work even closer with you and grow as a community.
Accounts for you, a forum, blogs, and perhaps an app
At the beginning of the new year 2018, probably in February, the relaunch of our Mein-MMO.de website is planned. As you may already know, we report on our website about various online games. In addition to Pokémon GO, we also cover Destiny 2, GTA 5, Overwatch, FIFA 18, and many other games are important topics for us. We regularly receive feedback from our readers and will adapt our presence accordingly.
Planned, for example, is a user account system. There you can create an account and customize the site to your liking. Games that do not interest you can be hidden, and you can only follow your favorite games.
As a supplement to the Facebook group, we want to experiment with a forum on our website. There you can exchange ideas and report on stories without having to be on Facebook. That it could become interesting for you in the forum is regularly shown by our community with exciting stories, images, and facts. If you have something to say, you can use the user blog and publish texts with us there.
Talents from our community
Among our readers, there are many trainers who enrich our community with their own contributions. This includes Tobias van Helden, who regularly shares exciting and funny short stories with the Facebook group. He is one of the most active members of our group and has provided us with stories upon request, of which we want to present two.
Call to Niantic
Caller: Hello, I am Bert. Am I speaking with Mr. Niantic?
Niantic Employee: Hello?
Bert: So I have a problem. I am already level 40 and would like to have a gym at my house. My wife says I play too much Pokémon Go. At least she said that before she left.
Employee: What?
Bert: Exactly! That’s what I asked too. Wouldn’t you also check your phone at 4 AM on the way to the bathroom to see if a good Pokémon was coming? And yes, maybe I should have worn something more than just my bathrobe, but that Dragonite was only there for five more minutes. My wife really made a scene.

Bert: Exactly! You say it. But I thought: If I had a gym at home, I wouldn’t be out for so long. I could spin from home. If a few good raids came up, that would be even better. Then I would only go hunting continuously from Monday to Friday and could even sleep at home for two days.
Employee: German?
Bert: Yes, that’s my wife. But why does that concern you? Just because you have a job doesn’t mean you have to hit on them. Okay, I also had a job until a week ago. But seriously: You can drive a slight detour as a paramedic. A raid doesn’t take that long anyway. Oh, and yes, that person will keep their leg … probably. Alternatively to the gym: Is there a Pokémon GO singles market? That would be good from level 35 … level-wise. At the beginning of level 20, they drop off quickly.
Employee: Sorry, but …
Bert: Yes, they said the same thing at the bank before my account was blocked due to all the in-app purchases. But now I’m level 40. So I no longer need to invest anything and can play more calmly. Thanks for nothing.

Reborn
Bernd opens his eyes. Actually, this shouldn’t be possible, because he is dead.
“Oh, look at that. Lena, we have a new one.” A voice sounded next to Bernd. When Bernd looked around, he saw … what actually? It had an eternally long tongue.
“What kind of weird costume are you wearing?” Bernd asked in a voice that was deep for him.
A disgusting purple something came through the door
“Hello, I am Lena, and no, we are not dressed up; we have been reborn. You too, by the way. Apparently, the Buddhists were right,” said this pile of trash.
Bernd looked around. There was a mirror. Although it was difficult for him, he stood up. He was tired, no wonder, he was seriously ill. Although this tiredness was different and not caused by pain medication.
He came to the mirror and saw a large hairy thing. He pulled on his other arm to take off the costume. But that had no effect; a zipper couldn’t be found.“Hehe, we all tried that, but it’s not a costume. We were reborn, and guess what? As Pokémon in an app.” said Monster Tongue before bursting into laughter. That looked really creepy with that super long tongue.
“But with rebirth, you should be born as a bird or a cow. Pokémon are those movies my grandson always watches. I never had anything to do with it,” Bernd mumbled to himself.
“We didn’t have anything to do with it either. This rebirth as an app figure makes sense, though. Think about it, you can bring infinite people back to life here. In real life, with 7 billion people, soon there won’t be enough animals that can be occupied by human souls.
Oh, and no, almost all Pokémon are just programs. The reborn ones can be recognized by the life in their eyes,” Lena explained.Bernd asked: “How did you get to know each other?”
The two others looked at each other awkwardlyMonster Tongue just said: “In a battle. Oh, by the way, my name is Martin.”
Bernd: “Do we have to fight?”
Lena: “Sometimes, but that’s usually not a big deal.”
Martin: “You’re easy. You only throw trash at others as a Slime, I have to lick them in the face.”
Bernd: “That means you have … ?” Bernd laughed. “Could you discover a system for how the figures are chosen for the persons?”
Lena: “We have a theory. We believe that the figures have to do with the previous life of the soul. I worked in waste disposal, which is why I became Slime. Martin was a dentist, which is why he became Slurp.
You are a Slaking, lazy, always tired, hardly working. What were you before?”Bernd grimaced: “Always these prejudices.”

Jirachi Pokémon – A glimpse into the Gen 3 monster
Our reader Dorothea Balkow also deals intensively with Pokémon GO and provides us with news. Here she gives us insight and background on Jirachi. What’s the deal with its ribbons?
Jirachi
Today I want to take a closer look at the (currently not unlocked) Pokémon Jirachi with its trident-like, star-like hat hairstyle. This Jirachi head shape hat hairstyle looks, despite the star and round eyes, “quite Asian”. It includes: Three turquoise ribbons that, upon closer inspection, turn out to be “wish lists”. In the Shiny version, they are red.
In the Japanese / Chinese space, the number 3 is symbolized by three horizontal lines (Jirachi’s 3 ribbons?), which, later connected by Arabs on the right side, form the origin of our current number 3.
Only every 1000 years does Jirachi wake up for exactly seven days and fulfills through teleportation all the wishes that people have written on these three wish lists on its head.
However, to wake up, in addition to the first condition (every 1000 years), two other prerequisites must be met:
- a human must sing something to him with a clear voice and without malicious intent and
- the Millennium Comet must be nearby Earth. Because only then can Jirachi absorb the energy from the Millennium Comet with its true eye on its belly and use it for wish fulfillment.
Whether all those deceased during these 1000 years will at least be able to experience it afterwards remains unclear.
In the Pokewiki darkness, it also remains unclear where Jirachi obtains all the objects of desire from and whether this causes other owners losses or entire factories are emptied. Because Jirachi unfortunately cannot create something new.
In Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, Jirachi is part of the Pokémon research team Ampharos and is responsible for observing the stars from his attic room.
Within the Gen 3 monster world from the Hoenn region, it can be found with Dex No. 385 just before Deoxys in the penultimate place.
With a max CP of 3090 and the stats attack 210, defense 210, stamina/initiative 200, it is just as good a defender as it is an attacker.
In the original Gen 3, it ranks – just behind Gardevoir at rank 8 – at rank 9. Together with Salamence, Metagross, Latias & Latios, as well as 3 Deoxys variants for attack, defense, and initiative.
But beware: do not underestimate! It is of the Steel/Psychic type, has a crystalline shell, and can defend itself without waking up in an emergency!
