In Pokémon GO there will be a Community Day with Lichtel in October. We at MeinMMO have taken a look at what bonuses and exclusive moves the event brings you and whether you can finally secure the Ghost and Fire Pokémon as shiny.
What is the Community Day? Every month, Pokémon GO hosts a special multi-hour event where a predetermined Pokémon takes center stage and is thus almost everywhere to be found.
After the dates for the Community Days in October and November were announced, Pokémon GO has now also published the content and the Pokémon for the C-Day in October via Twitter and their blog.
Community Day in October 2022 – Start, Bonuses, Raids & Shinys
When does the event take place? The Community Day runs on Saturday, October 15, 2022, between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM local time.
Which Pokémon is in focus? As communicated by Niantic via social networks, you can look forward to the Ghost and Fire Pokémon Lichtel for the C-Day in October. The little candle will therefore spawn in the wild throughout the event period.
Is there a special move? As you might know from previous Community Days, there will also be an exclusive move with Lichtel for the C-Day. To achieve this, you need to evolve the Pokémon into Skelabra during the event and up to 5 hours afterward.
Skelabra learns the Ghost move “Poltergeist”. This move does the following damage:
- Trainer battles: 140
- Raids & Gym battles: 140
What bonuses will there be? During the Community Day, you can look forward to the special event move and numerous spawns as well as the following bonuses:
- Incense and Lure Modules last for 3 hours
- double candy when catching
- triple XP when catching
- from level 31: double chance for XL candies when catching
- additional special trade (a total of 2) until 10:00 PM local time
- 50% less Stardust cost for trading until 10:00 PM local time
- surprises from snapshots
- Event stickers with Lichtel from gifts, at PokéStops, and in the in-game shop
- Special research “Field Notes: Trick of the Light” for Lichtel for about 1 Euro in the in-game shop
Can you catch shiny Lichtel? Yes. For years, many players in Pokémon GO have been waiting to finally catch Lichtel in its shiny form. During the Community Day in October, you will finally have the opportunity to do so.
Typically, shiny chances are slightly increased during Community Days, so you will more likely encounter a shiny specimen. So keep an eye out for a Lichtel with a light blue flame.
Special Raids: As in previous months, there will be special level 4 raids during the Community Day with Lichtel, which you can participate in after the event. These will run from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM local time.
In these, you can challenge Lichtel’s first evolution Laternecto and earn additional Lichtel spawns within a 300-meter radius around a gym for 30 minutes. However, these raids will only be playable on-site. You will only be able to participate with raid passes and premium battle passes. Remote raids are not possible.
