How to make the most of the Community Day with Hoppspross
What preparation should you make? The Community Day with Hoppspross lasts for 6 hours, during which you can catch the little monster. Therefore, you should already stock up on a decent supply of balls.
If you want to make the most of the event time, you should have at least 350 balls so that you don’t have to spin at PokéStops or gyms immediately again.
But storage space is also an important topic that you shouldn’t overlook. To avoid constantly sorting your Pokémon storage, we recommend cleaning it out beforehand. However, you may want to wait a bit longer before sending Pokémon; find out why in our corresponding article:
These items are worth it for the Community Day: Besides balls, there are more items that could be interesting for you during the C-Day. Thanks to the Stardust bonus, it’s worth catching as many Pokémon as possible on this day. This is best achieved by using Incense and Lures. Each attract additional specimens for 3 hours.
Thus, you only need 2 of each for the entire event. If you want to further expand your Stardust supply, you can also use Star Pieces. These will give you an additional 50% Stardust for 30 minutes.
Is the C-Day with Hoppspross worth it?
How strong is Hoppspross: Hoppspross is a grass and flying Pokémon from the 2nd generation of games. It can be evolved into Papungha through Hubelupf. All three monsters are not particularly strong and therefore do not play a role in raids and PvP battles. The new event move Acrobatics does not provide any advantage for Papungha either.
Is there a Shiny Hoppspross? Yes, during the Community Day in February, you can encounter the shiny form of Hoppspross for the first time. You can easily recognize it by its green body. Its shiny evolutions Hubelupf and Papungha can be identified by their pink and light pink appearance, respectively.
Is the Community Day with Hoppspross worth it? The Community Day with Hoppspross is primarily worthwhile for Shiny hunters. They will definitely get their money’s worth on this day. However, if you are looking for a strong Pokémon for raids or PvP battles, you are unlikely to find it on this day.
Even though Hoppspross is generally less interesting for many trainers, it is still worth participating in this event. The reason for this is the Stardust bonus. With this, you can significantly increase your stock during the event. And the additional raid passes should also please some players.
What do you think of the Community Day with Hoppspross? Will you be collecting a lot of Stardust on that day? Or is the event not for you and would you prefer to skip it this time? Feel free to leave your opinion in the comments on MeinMMO and exchange ideas with other trainers.
In February, another big event awaits you. We will show you all content related to ticket, bonuses, as well as the gold and silver edition for the Pokémon GO Tour: Johto.
