The attack for Community Day in August featuring Eevee is known: The monsters can learn the attack Last Resort. Everything we know.
Community Day #8: This month, in August, the 2-day Community Day featuring Eevee starts in Pokémon GO. During the event, you will find particularly many Eevee in the wild that can have special attacks.
Last Resort is the exclusive attack: Niantic always announces the exclusive attack for Community Days shortly before the event. Now we know that Eevee can learn “Last Resort” this coming weekend.
Last Resort and Shiny Eevee
This is “Last Resort”: Last Resort is a charged attack with two charge bars of the Normal type. The exact battle values of this attack are still unknown for Pokémon GO. Normally, Eevee cannot learn this attack, only during the Community Day event in August.
Also the evolutions: Every Eevee that is evolved between the start of Community Day on Saturday and the end on Sunday will also know Last Resort in its evolved form.
Shiny Eevee confirmed: Unusually for a Community Day, Niantic also confirmed that you can find shiny Eevee during the event. “Eevee appears significantly more frequently during these time periods, and you might encounter a shiny Eevee for the first time.”

When does Community Day take place? In August, the Community event is something special, as it is active for two days.
- On Saturday, August 11th, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM German time
- On Sunday, August 12th, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM German time
Note: There is currently some confusion regarding the start times. We are following the official time from the Community Day website of Pokémon GO. The times from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM also applied during the last events.
What bonuses are there?
- 3x Stardust rewards for catching Pokémon
- Lures last for three hours instead of 30 minutes during the event
- If you catch an Eevee in the wild or from an egg during the event time, it will know the Last Resort attack
