The Community Day in September 2022 features the Pokémon Baltoy. We will show you everything about the start time, bonuses, the exclusive move, the raid evening, and the shinies of the event.
What’s new? The date for the C-Day in September 2022 was announced a few days ago in Pokémon GO. Now it is also clear which bonuses you can expect during the event and which Pokémon will be in focus.

Community Day in September 2022 – Times, Bonuses, Raids, and Shinies
When does the event take place? On Sunday, September 18, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time.
Which Pokémon? The focus of the event is Baltoy. It is a Rock-type Pokémon from the fifth generation. Its evolutions are Claydol and its final evolution.
Which move? The exclusive move for the event is Meteor Beam, a Rock-type move. It inflicts 120 damage in trainer battles and 140 damage in gym and raid battles. If you evolve Claydol during the event or up to five hours afterwards, it will learn the charged move Meteor Beam.
What bonuses? During the event, you can take advantage of the following bonuses:
- Eggs placed in incubators during the event hatch four times faster
- You receive double candies for catching Pokémon
- Incense lasts for three hours
- An additional special trade
- When catching Pokémon, you have double chances for XL candies (You must have reached at least Level 31)
- Lures last for three hours
- Snapshots provide Pokémon encounters
- Trading costs 50% less Stardust
- (The bonuses for the additional special trade and the 50% reduction in trading costs are active from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The remaining bonuses are active from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM)
Special research: For the price of about €1, you can purchase a ticket for special research. It’s called “Rock ‘n’ Roll”. We will show you all the quests and rewards of the research on our site on event Sunday.
What do the shinies look like? One of the most important aspects during the Community Days for many trainers is the shiny that can be caught. In the following graphic, we show you the Baltoy family in shiny comparison:
Bonus raid battles: On event Sunday, after the C-Day, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, special raid battles will take place. The level 4 raids feature battles against Claydol. If you defeat the Pokémon in raids, additional Baltoy will spawn at the combat arena for 30 minutes. The raids can only be battled with EX Raid Passes and Premium Raid Passes – not with Remote Raid Passes.
The dates for the Community Days in October and November 2022 have also been established.
